I can build custom cages, racks, ceiling mounts, and trestles to suit your needs. I use only the finest solid materials and do not cut corners. My prices are highly negotiable and depend exactly on what you wish to build. Figure 50% of the cost is materials, and you can look that up yourself on any metal supply page. This will be only a rough estimate, as extensive custom work can be labor intensive even if there are few materials required. Easy jobs may require more steel but have little labor.

I can work with Iron, Titanium, Stainless, Galvanized, and Raw Steel. I am willing to work with precious metals but that will require a considerable deposit!

All orders will require at least a few weeks. Some may take months, depending upon the complexity required. Because most of my designs need to be shipped, broken down in parts, and able to be moved, I do not weld everything. To the extents possible, all connections are quick-fit, and where not possible they are bolted. If you want a fully welded unit it will require special assembly at a substantially higher cost.

Most of what I do is custom work, but I'm building a shopping cart for my business that will have standard supplies. Right now I'm designing a fold-down portable cage of stainless steel that will fit in a typical car trunk. The trestles require at least six feet of space for transport, depending on the order size. There really is no upper limit, trestles larger than 60 feet would require additional vertical supports.

Warnings and Caveats:
Ceiling mounted equipment requires attachment to roof beams. This assumes that you know what you are doing. If you are unsure about your roof strength, or are renting, please specify non-roof mounted equipment so that I will design it with posts or pillars.

TAKE MEASUREMENTS. I do not do returns. The shipping alone would kill me!

I will only replace parts damaged in shipping, not the entire item. I warranty my parts for one year, and any failures will be replaced at no cost, and with no shipping [if under 50.00.]

Send me the dimensions, connections wanted, purposes for which it will be used, and a scanned drawing of the device you want built. It is helpful to include a photo of the area in which it will be located. Include as many notes as possible. I will work up a draft and send it to you for approval. Upon your approval, a deposit is required to begin work. The deposit will be at least 25%. Many builders require FULL payment in advance. I have not found the need to do so.

I'm getting a Masters in civil engineering, and I've been a lifelong college student with more than 30 years in sciences thus far. I've been a member of the shipwrights union in Los Angeles and have experience building steel structures, and hulls.
