I am looking forward to eating many of e01n's foreign (to me) things. I have a feeling he's going to work very hard to ensure nothing that sits on our dining room table is anything less than appealing to me. We did find plenty of room for most of the cookbooks. More than half are still in the kitchen (and one of mine...I have to have my Joy of Cooking nearby). Everything else is easy, luckily for me. Now, to turn the rainbow room into the dungeon/bedroom.... I have to give public kudos to my lovely e01n. For three nights he slept on a mattress on the floor of the basement while during the day he worked tirelessly to clean out what was once my oldest's room (I was in the process of moving her from one bedroom to another before I decided to bring e01n home so soon). Most of her stuff is in a shambles and I found (she's a class A packrat) stuff everywhere....clothing...piles of clothing here there and everywhere...like, for instance a sock in the jewelry box. I HATE to do laundry. e01n washed every bit of her laundry for me and today, as I understand it, has every intention of getting the room cleaned out and livable for himself and enjoyable for the both of us *S*. My kitchen has never been cleaner. oh and because I'm such a sap...I have to share the shoe story... The day we met...I was wearing black strappy sandals (a good call since he immediately noticed and complimented me on them) Though it had been raining on and off in Terre Haute and we chose to go to the park for a bit. Walking through the grass was getting my feet all wet and because I had stayed somewhere else the night before I had sneakers and socks in my car. We walked back and e01n took the time to get down on the ground and change my shoes for me. He wiped the dampness and grass from my foot, put my sock on then my sneaker and then moved on to the other foot. Last night...as I readied to head out the door for work he walked me to the door. I sat down to put on my socks and shoes and he sat on the floor and took my sock and shoe from me and put them on for me. (I had already gotten the left one done) As he did this, he said to me, in his ever so e01nish way...."and do you have a problem with this?" *S* it was fun and much loved.
