Status: offline 		no, dc, no wifi...i'm using my normal verizon broadband stick...i'm having a great ride...i'm in the crew car, so there's only one other couple here...i get to sleep with the crew!!!  woooohooooo!!!  i think i'll take a little nap, since i've been sleep-deprived for a week.....

the train involved in the collision in California was actually a commuter train & they're investigating whether the texting rumor is true...all they know for sure is that the engineer missed/ignored 2 signals telling him to stop...29 people, including the engineer were killed...we passed by the spot this morning & i saw the flowers, etc...

The trip was GREAT!

Actually the trip was to Florida.  I went there for work.  We were there to de-install an MRI to be shipped to Poland.  Fun fun!

On the way back, my boss took us through LO and to stay in New Orleans, because I had never been there.  He booked us a room about a block off Canal Street and REALLY close to the French Quarter.  (How cool is that?)

So, yes I did visit there.  And I am less than impressed. 

So, I finally made it home today.  Butterhead is well!  She was happy to see the other half and to see Sprout!  And her toy box.  (Had to check and make sure that they were ALL still there)

But I got to see LOTS of the country that I had never seen!  So. . . It was great! 

Now, if I could just take "home" with me as I traveled. ..  that would be great!

I visited NOLA in 2000 (I think) and wasn't swept off my feet either. I remember walking early one morning and thinking that Bourbon Street looked like it had a hangover.
