You can give your breast pump to someone else, just need to get new "funnels" (the part that goes on your boob), bottles to pump into and new tubing, just to be safe. There should be no fluids in the tubing, as only air passed through, but you never know. Manufacturers like to say you can't reuse them, because they want you to buy new ones. But think about this... the ones you rent from the hospital are used. Gwyn, check with your hospital to see if they have them available for sale (could be cheaper than retail) and also with your local La Leche League (again for the price). If you have private insurance, they may cover a pump rental; based on your stated income, I'll also venture a guess that you might be under a special program, and if so, they may cover it as well. Certainly worth checking into. Cali
