Status: offline 		Good morning, DC.  I'm not sure yet how I am, as I just woke up & haven't had caffeine yet.  I was feeling a touch cold-ish last night, so didn't go to the store for yogurt.  I hate when I wake up to no yogurt.

Mellow day so far at this end. A friend and I have talked about doing some sort of mini road trip (maybe Mount Vernon), but nothing's crystalized yet.

Status: offline 		I'm envious that you get to take a day-trip to places like that.  When I was on disability, I spent a month back there with my sister & I loved it!  I used to have a collection of teddy bears with clothes on & I got a George Washington bear there, complete with white wig.

Status: offline 		This is true of most people wherever they live.  When I was driving around Los Angeles with my Uncle Irv, I would ask him questions & he would have to confess that he knew little about the city where he has lived for over 70 years.

When I lived in Cle Elum, WA, a town of 2400, I never went to the telephone museum.  It's the only touristy thing to do there & I always said I would go.  I did much better in San Francisco, touring the city on the weekends & seeing a lot of really cool things.

When I was a kid, I used to visit my aunt and uncle in DC during the summers. I remember declaring that if I lived in Washington, I'd go to the Smithsonian every weekend. My aunt asked how often I visited the Statue of Liberty (I grew up on Long Island), and I had to admit I'd never been!

Status: offline 		I've never been to NYC, which has been something I've always wanted to do.  The closest I've been is "downtown New Jersey"--Metuchen & Newark.  One time I was routed through there & allowed myself to be talked out of it & went across the Tappanzee Bridge instead.  Someday.....

Status: offline 		New York is amazing. I have a love-hate relationship with it. Sometimes I'm there and feel the energy pulsing through the streets and wonder how anyone could live anywhere else. Other times, it feels like a dress rehearsal for hell. Definitely worth a visit, though.

Status: offline 		Today, I have 3 kittens, 2 small & 1 medium, plus my usual dog.  The dog loves the medium kitten, but hates the small ones.  The small ones are afraid of the medium one who is curious as all get-out about the small ones.  I have my own circus here!!

Status: offline 		Yep, those are the small kittens of which I was speaking.  Spike no longer gets up 5 or 6 times in the night to growl & bark & chase them, so I guess that could constitute getting along better,  LOL

Status: offline 		He's sleeping in this morning, so he's unaware that the medium kitten has commandeered all his toys!  My neighbor is kind of the nervous type & she tells me all the time what a bad kitten he is, but after having him here for 14 hours, I'm thinkin he's just normal for his age.  But I'm just letting him play with whatever he wants to play with.  He's too small to really hurt anything.

Hmmmm...big storm out there.  I may have to bring my windchimes in before they blow over to the next town.

Status: offline 		I love storms.  I've always believed that it is the increase in ozone that puts me in such a happy mood!  I even loved driving in them in the truck.  I've had lightning strike so close that the thunder boomed immediately after the strike.
