I'm a bit worried about McCain's plan to tax health benefits. Need to learn more about it.

I loved, at the end of the parody, the reference to a maverick drinking game. Rich mentioned that on this very thread right after the debate!

I be cool & groovy today. Just had a chat with my former master about my job decisions & he came up with a great idea, so I'm kinda walking on clouds, because it just might work!!

As some of you may know, I was hired a couple of weeks ago for a local truck driving job. When I went to Los Angeles for orientation, they kept messin with me & jerkin me around & the latest word is that they will clear me to work tomorrow.

In the meantime, I got a job offer selling high-end vacuum/air purifiers, which would be a guaranteed wage plus commission. It's a product that I'm very enthusiastic about so I think I could sell the sh!t out of it. But I wasn't sure that I wanted to give up the truck driving job to do something I've never done before. The other issue is that my daughter's having surgery this month in Idaho & needs her mommy & I'm pretty sure the trucking company would balk at giving me that time off.

His solution was to ask the trucking company if I could delay starting till I get back from Idaho, citing my daughter's needs. This would give me some time to try the sales job & I'm pretty sure they'd be ok about my going to Idaho for 3-5 days. If the sales job doesn't work out, I haven't closed the door on the trucking job.

Brilliant, eh??
