Its cold here as well aylee and the deer harvest is rolling right along,had a permit for some does so I let a few good ol' boys take a few,I know they will be put to good use...Most  farmers just shoot them and leave them lie at least mine go to some ones bellys..I have a permit for 20 but only will let about 10 go this year TO ALL YOU BAMBI LOVERS,You aren't doing the whole herd any good by allowing over population, this leaves to starvation during the winter except for ours, they eat good alpha hay with the horses lol..

My sister makes what I call Mamby Pamby Bambi stew. 

I don't really like venison - for the flavor - but I'll eat it.  Heck, we had a pet pig when I was a kid....people eat all kinds of ham bacon and sausage... so.... One of the most important things, I think is that we need to be respectful of mother nature.  That is what's important.

Anyhoo, we are off to a munch!

Maybe so vp but to my native great granny and pa as well as my granny always taught me to give a prayer to the critters that gave its life to sustain ours..With the day of the ref, freezer and large super markets ever where you look there isn't a real need to just go out and kill for the sport of it...Really folks if it wasn't for the hunters we would be over ran with critters of all shapes, sizes competing for every blade of grass growing..I have taken two this year a buck and a doe, the buck was of large frame but just an 8 pointer,I guess the food plots on the circle C is working well.During my veggie days 9 years I never touched my bow except to target shoot for fun...
