i decorated my tree today. it was ... lonely ... doing it by myself. and i couldn't find my chirpy xmas music. listened to the 'messiah'. wasn't really the mood i wanted to put myself in.

and then i couldn't reach the top to put the star on. that was sad.

and then the tree fell on me. that was bad.

but the fairy lights are all twinkly and i'm glad.

*i'm also feeling a bit like dr seuss*

Status: offline 		nope. think all the ornaments survived. need to put them back up, but i wasn't in the mood. one shouldn't curse while decorating the tree

i'll finish it up in the next few days and then tidy and organise the room. then i get to put the myriad snowman collection up in there and around the house.

and find the purple tinsel string for the stairs and some gold tinsel for the tree

my daughter will hate that bit *grins*

Status: offline 		Phewwwww.... That's a good thing. About the ornaments. Personally, my dad used to say that if you didn't curse at least once while putting up the tree, it wasn't Christmas. He, ummm, wasn't known for his clean language. 

Oh Lordy, Lordy.... Purple and gold? I wanna see piccies!!!!

Status: offline 		we are buying a pre lit tree this year. I don't do lights. I also don't do real trees. Not crazy about hanging ornaments either. And wrapping gifts bites the big one.

Status: offline 		I don't have any of my decorations from Idaho here and I doubt if I can get the good fer nuttin monsters to send them out in time. I used to do the tree in a Disney theme, complete with hand-blown glass ornaments. Ummmm, not sure they'd be a good idea with a 4 yo um in the house though. And the stuffed Pooh that I used as a tree topper would be his new best friend so I'd lose my topper.

Ooooooo, guess that would mean shopping, huh?

i am using plastic ornaments with no wire hooks. There is not much of a difference between two yr old ands and four year old hands....

Status: offline 		Walmart has some decent prelit trees at reasonable prices.  I bought my tree there last Sunday, it's in the living room and a work in progress.  I have to finish putting the ornaments on it, and find a tree topper I like.

Why the HELL would I want snow???   I have to drive to my daughter's house Thurs/Fri.
I am happy tho that I got the ok from my boxing coach to bring my oldest grandum w/me to Fri.'s workout. Wonder how he'll fare getting up at 4:30am on his day off school??????
