. I see heavenly holly has her mouth full of potty, the groundhog is dealing with people on their heads, the lady rain has a new bathrobe to snuggle in, my manbeast friend is grumbling and the adorable Aylee is unawares soooooooooooooooooo...~gropefondlemolestifuckswats the alluring posterior~

Good Morning All!

So, my little sister contacted me last night. I was surprised. . . but what the heck. It is not that we have a bad relationship . . . we just don't talk that much. We exchanged IM addresses almost two years ago and this was the first time that it has been used.

So we went through the usual how everyone and everything is doing. . . yadda yadda. . . and then. . .

She needs a quote. For her pining ceremony.

I KNEW THERE WAS AN ULTERIOR MOTIVE!

Did I have a quote for her? Yeah, hunny, I keep and pull quotes for all occassions out of my ass at 10:30 at night ALL the time.

She wanted some sort of "passing of the torch from generation to generation" thing. Our great-grandmother was a nurse and retired the year that she was born, and that is who will be doing the pining.

My first suggestion was "Biology is destiny." LOL She said, "No, because grandma is technically our STEP great-grandma." I am sitting there thinking. . . You just finished 4 years of nursing school and you don't recognize Aristotle? What DID they teach you?

I found a couple more. . . but she did decide that she liked this one:

Isn't it amazing how we only hear from people when they want something? I got family and friends like that too... I tend to just say no anyway.

Thanks! And yes I am looking forward to Christmas!

And no, with her it doesn't bother me. I know that the past four years have been busy for her (a job, full-time school, a hubby, and two kids). When I have made it to GJ, we have visited.

She has always held the belief that I will have obscure bits of information or will be able to explain something. And as far as the quote thing goes, that is really just an effective use of her resources. I can find things like that more quickly than most or in some cases do actually have it on hand. 24 hours notice would be nice. . . but oh well. I was at the computer anyway.

Now I have had so-called friends ask me for favors repeatedly with absolutly nothing in return. To my mind, if you are going to ask me to drive you places once or twice a week, every week, you need to at least offer to buy me a soda once in a while. Because if you don't, I become REALLY unavailable, REALLY quickly.

That's good. And obscure knowledge is fun! Me, I know just have trivial little stuff that makes my monsters eyes roll... (Mommmmm, who would want to know that???)

And I have the tendency to want to help too much, so it's been a life lesson to learn to back off. It's helped that a few people (my ex being one!) have given me some stellar examples of when it's ok to start saying "No". Still hasn't dampened my enthusiasm for helping though......

The roads are bare, the sky is clear - its a beautiful day for the the first, last, and only School Christmas Pagent my 2 ums will ever be in together!!!!!!!!! (camcorder charging now!)

The LO has his first pagent coming up and i cannot wait!! Jim cancelled one of his office parties that night so he can attend...and quite a few other family members will be there too.
