You bet i would. In a heartbeat. Those illnesses are cured with antibiotics most of the time. Autism is forever. As it was i had his vaccines delayed until i was sure they were safe. The vaccines that Pures brother had contained mercury...long thought to be the cause of autism. Remember when you were pregnant and the doctor warned you to stay away from foods containing mercury? Dangerous stuff for a developing baby.

For those of us who live with Autism every day, our decisions about vaccines are NOT made lightly.Those on here who are dealing with what Jim and i deal with are like us: educated and informed!!! If others want to criticize me...have at it!

eta.....and btw...i am sure some would have something to say about my not permitting the LO to have a flu shot. I do research before any drug is injected to my kid. The flu vaccine was a "projected" anti viral manufactured last year...and it was off base in treating the current flu.. In other words..it was fairly useless. The new one, based on the current bug, will be in the peds office by mid January. The LO will have one then. Slam me for not getting my kid a flu shot? Go ahead!!!!

Did ya see my post on the "I Hate It When" thread? A friend mailed 2 items to me, one Express mail and one regular. The regular one went later but has arrived here. The Express one (which contains my monthly cheque) hasn't shown yet. Since I didn't know my friend had sent the second envelope, when I got it and the cheque wasn't there, I had a slight, errrrr, incident, with my chest. Probably just a nasty, nasty panic attack but kee - rist!!!! My chest is still hurting and I'm shaky.....

(We're hoping the other envelope arrives soon or I'm making some calls.)
