Status: offline 		Hi folks with migraines...

I just got some new info from my neurologist about pain fixes for migraines.  Prescription strength naproxen + 30 mg reglan = good as vicodin.  Reglan is used for allergies, anti-nausea, and with diabetics having problems with digestion.  It's uber-cheap too.

I'm gonna try it the next time.  Reglan can make you a little sleepy so it's good to try this when you're not driving and such.

My neurologist put me on Topomax and then a Botox treatment every 10 weeks or so which deadened the neurons where the migraines where.  After about 4 years,  I got off the Botox treatments and the Topomax keeps the  migraines away. It was much better than sleeping all the time.

Status: offline 		ya know...i had an allergic reaction to codeine once that sent me to the emergency room. I thought my head was going to blow off...the worst headache i ever had!! The ER Doctor told me it was just like a migraine. I remember thinking "THIS is what migraine suffers go thouugh...all the time??"

All of you with migraines have my total sympathy

Status: offline 		it sucks when Your allergic to most pain meds, and ya have migraines. tried phenobarbitol the last time, allergic reaction, go figure!!!!! but thankfully something has triggered in my lil head and no more migraines as of late whoo hoo... total sympathy to all that do.
