BTW, I have the fabric for a "watercolor log cabin" quilt done in Japanese metallic prints. It's going to be something! As soon as my tax refund comes through, I'll be getting a new sewing machine (the ex "lent" mine to one of his friends and I never saw it again *grrr*) so I can start quilting again. In the meantime, I'll be finishing up a couple of crochet and knitting projects, lol.

The rib is ok as long as i keep the cough under control. It has to be a teeny tiny fracture. I broke two ribs in the past and compared to that, this is very mild.

say, holly. i'm starting to look at job requirements for the states. one of them has a salary range: is this weekly? fortnightly? (just over $2K)

geez..sure hope it isn't yearly. I would assume it is per pay period and that is generally q 2 weeks, Angeleyes.

ok. hard to tell. and sci, we get paid well over here, but basically what i'm looking at is a social workers position equivalent over there. and they never get the big buckaroonies

i don't need or want big buckaroonies, but i DO need to be able to live!

i'd like to move back. perhaps not indefinitely, but for a period.

problem is my health issues (which i'm working on)
and i'm used to more money, and better health care (prices especially)

i pay my care workers about 19-22 dollars/hour depending on their skill level. they're paid mileage and time between clients.

the workers there get paid half that, if they get paid that much.

and i don't have a degree yet. i work in mid management. if i had to go back to worker i'd be vy unhappy.

all factors i have to consider

however, i AM still a yank and can get back no problem
