Status: offline 		so...this morning at 2am i was RUDELY awakened by two pudgy hands on my collar, frantically shaking me and bellowing "Mommy!! Help!!! Moooomy...hellllllp!!!!"

I was instantly awake and out of bed, wondering if i had the sense to remember the number for 911, trying not to fall over the kid, as he still had the death grip on the neck of my tee shirt, and trying to determine just what the fuck was happening.

The LoudOne finally let go of my shirt and ran, full speed, into the kitchen, with me hot on his heels to stop him. I had no idea what was going on and seriously was trying to grab him to toss him out of the front door so he would be safe.

Never underestimate the speed of two year old feet in an emergency situation. The kid was hauling butt!!

So...we make it into the kitchen and he begins to cry, trying to explain the crisis through tears, and with a trembling lower lip. I didn't hear him at first, as i was looking at the war zone that was my kitchen. The refrigerator door was wide open, and most of the food was on the floor. The counters, clean and shiny when i went to bed, were covered with dishes, paper towels...and eggs. Lots and lots of eggs. Eggs shells, egg whites, egg yokes...oooo yeah.

The Loudone then stopped crying long enough to tell me what had occured. He decided to make breakfast for his dad and i. Eggs. He took the egg holder with the one dozen i had just bought, cracked each one, and managed to get TWO in the skillet. Two out of 12 means 10 on the floor. Then he went back for a few others that were in a bowl in the fridge. This is where the situation turned critical. No matter how hard he tried (and rest assured, he was giving it his all) he could not crack these few remaining HARD BOILED eggs.

A fit was promptly pitched and he needed MOM!!!!!

btw, when my kids were still youngish, i sent them to their grandma's for cooking lessons!

maybe you need to start him on toast. then french toast. then eggs?
