We all spent the evening (7hours) in the ER. Jim had a run-in with a rusty screw at work. It was a freak accident where his finger was nearly impaled on the head of the screw. He came home and held it out to me and demanded "Fix this".

It was a very deep cut loaded with rust. There was nothing i could do and, from how easy it was to convince him to go to the hospital, he was not surprised. They had to open it up to clean it (after a hefty dose of a numbing agent) then close it with 4-5 stitches, plus a tetanus shot and a weeks worth of antibiotics.

Freak accidents

Fix this, indeed. It's rusty, of course he needed a tetanus shot. Men!

I want to know why the bathtub in Holly's house isn't filled with plastic dinosaurs. L.O. must have discovered the joys of giant roaring animals by now.

i think dinosaurs are one of the few toys he does NOT have in the bathtub. Duck, boats, trucks, those bathtub letters.....my bathtub looks like it came from the ToysRUs catalog

How is Jim? will he recover? will he be able to keep his finger?

Lol

Yesterday went well, between the fact that he had a really bad headache requiring two Advil and a nap in the afternoon, working on a term paper, and being sent out to mow the lawn. Plus he got called (on the house phone) and asked why he hadn't shown up at a birthday party. Following which he was obviously in withdrawal about losing his cell phone.

Hopefully he won't choose to break the rules again knowing what will happen. It's been a year since I had to take the cell phone away, I think he forgot how tough he finds it.

Dr Doom with the fantastic ass was not there...Jim saw a female doctor. And he will probably survive...but considering this is a man who has one foot in the grave every time he gets the sniffles, it might be touch and go for a bit
