Well, off to sweat for an hour or so....and not in "the fun way"....then a day of bureucratic hell getting all the certificates to operate the new building!....what a great way to spend a day....almost as good as a day at the dentist.....but, that would be less painful!

yeah, but I have learned to live with it...but for some reason, it's been extremely bad the last few weeks.....I've gone to work lately and haven't even been able to keep my eyes open! I don't think I'm stressing about anything, haven't had too many weird dreams, but it's like I go home, sleep like hte dead for two hours, and then, I'm up staring at the ceiling all night......then I stress about how much sleep I can get before the alarm goes off.....it's a vicious cycle.....one I'd really like to get off of!

Oh well, that rant's done for the day......

Soul...are you eating refined carbs? If so, try avoiding them for a few days and see if your sleep issues are improved.

Yesterday morning we had a frost, today's high will be 80. I can't keep up with this.

Holly and Celeste, not sure about the carbs, but I live on caffeine.....I try not to eat lots of sugar, the diabetes for one thing, so I've switched to sugar free stuff, or raw veggies, but giving up the caffeine....I dunno about that....I get headaches when I don't get enough of it. And drinking water, especially at or near bedtime just makes me get up all night anyway. I tend to drink water at home, but the soda at work. And I probably only drink 2 24 oz bottles in the 10 hours I'm at work anyway...trust me, that's waaaaay less than I've done in the past.

I actually think that the problem lies with my body....on the rare occasions that someone has actually slept with me, they tell me that I twitch....my last serious guy told me that he could always tell when I'm falling asleep.....I'd start twitching from my fingertips in....and when I was really asleep, I'd give a violent whole body twitch. I should have a sleep study done, but falling asleep with clothes on, not to mention all those electrode thingy's attached to me, would be almost impossible! The way I toss and turn, I'd hang myself with the stoopid things! I've lived with this crap for so long, it normally doesn't bother me, it's just been bad these last few weeks. I'd sure just like to know why it's popped up again.

which apple county? I'm from Wayne......and can remember snow in June! Tho I would have thought it was clear by now.....it was okay when I was home in April. Well, as far as April can be in upstate NY! When Iwas home in October, it was 70 degrees the day I left to come back to Phoenix!

Caffeine takes 8 hours to leave the body. You can fall asleep with it in you, but you will not get into deep sleep. So instead of transitioning into the deeper sleep cycle you wake up instead, about an hour and a half in.

Yes, caffeine withdrawal causes headaches. Start cutting back. Have a cup of coffee with followed by one from the decaf. Or buy two cans, one reg one decaf and mix them, then bring a thermos to work. If soda, bring cans both reg and decaf cola and alternate them. After a few days one regular and two decaf, and so on. Basically you only want a little caffeine in the morning, and maybe a little bit midafternoon which is more than 8 hours before bedtime.

Are you at all thinking that you have sleep apnea issues?....but the caffeine is more likely from this post.

yes, I've thought about mixing it together...that's actually how I made the transition from leaded soda to unleaded soda. I probably should start trying that out just to see if it will help......but I've been trying to actually cut back on the soda altogether and start getting more plain old water. I haven't really found a bottled water that is good, most of them are just blah, but as long as they are cold enough to freeze the enamel on my teeth, I can drink it. The tap water here is God-awful...it either tastes like chlorine or dirt...depending on the time of year.....and forget getting cold water out of the faucet now that summer's here! I think the water pipes are probably only down a foot underground, cuz once we get a week of 100+ temps, the water is at least that warm coming out of the faucets. I'll be turning down the hot water heater here in the next few days, I'm sure. I haven't used hot water in the shower for the last three days!

Perse, I've thought about sleep apnea, but I've never had anyone say that I stop breathing. Just the twitching. And I've dealt with the insomnia since my teens.......my body clock is backwards from most...I have begged to work midnights for as long as I can remember. I can stay up and work all night, but if I try to fight the rhythm of my body and work days, I'm really miserable......I had a bitch supervisor who put me on days to fuck with me, I was on them for over a year, and the day after I almost killed myself and the drivers in 5 other vehicles, I demanded to be taken off them. By this time, I was sleeping maybe two hours a night, and addicted to ny-quil for sleep. I literally felt like a zombie.

I'll probably get frustrated enough to finally do a sleep study.....it may take a few tries, since they don't want you taking anything to sleep, but what the hey......maybe it'll give me some answers.

Ulster, highest producer of apples by county in the state. And only 90 miles off Broadway as the local theater group calls itself. Washington State apples look better because of the low humidity so no insect problems, they get regular irrigation and grow big and pretty. But flavor develops as a result of stresses, so NY apples taste better; humidity, temperature changes etc. You ever see a NY State Royal Gala apple around folks, snap them up. The best eating apples commercially available.

Yeah, Washington's apples look pretty, but try eating one.......about the only ones out here worth eating are the galas......when one grows up picking ones apples off the tree, dusting off the poison and taking a huge bite...the produce department at the local grocery store just ain't the same!
