Mr. Smarties and I have 1030 am appointments with our family doctor. I need him to look at my shoulder and get some refills on meds. Mr. Smarties needs a check-up. I can have him look at it but the reality is that nowadays, for broken toes and even some fractures in the feet, all they do is tell you to stay off it, take some pain relievers and anti-inflammatories and that's it. When I broke 3 toes in a swimming pool a few years ago, all that happened was that the doctor looked at it and said "yep, they're broken all right!" When I broke my right foot in 5 places, all that happened was that they wrapped it for me. Nothing else. So I don't expect anything to come of it, other than to hear "yep, it's broken!" again.

And I don't know yet, holly. Was gonna take the bus but ain't so sure now. I'd have Lumus' mom drive us but she has her own doctor's appointment this morning.

Rain...when i broke a few bones in my foot (i walked into a brick wall and shut the fuck up about it) the Dr gave me one of those obnoxious plastic moon boot looking things, for the simple reason that i am around a lil one. Kids have a habit of stepping on our feet more than we realize.

Wha.....? I had 3 young monsters the last time I broke my toes and foot and that was the time that all they did was look at it and go "yep, it's broken!" Gee, ya think, asshole?????? The other time, I had 2 toddlers, ages 4 and 3, and I didn't even get pain pills, just told to take ibuprofen and stay off it. Now if my current doctor decides something different, great. I may actually listen to him!
