I'm pissed. I keep trying to get pics of the hawks that have moved in next door, and cant seem to get the focus right. They all keep coming out blurry. It's a pair ( I assume a mating pair). They're driving Amos nuts.. they perch on the fence close by, but trying to take the pics through a window and screen screws up the shots and if I go outside they fly away.. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

ETA I believe that they are Cooper's Hawks

Greedy...try opening the window every chance you have. Perhaps eventually they will not associate the sound with any danger and stay as they are.

Holly - reading about you and the kids gave me goose bumps! We are going to have to get CM to change your status from Condemed to Sainted. Glad you are feeling better.

As for the klutzy thing and youth when I was about 20 I once took out 75% of a crowded dance floor (about 80 people) when I kicked my partner in the ankle during the high speed part of the Cotton Eyed Joe. I think I'm still famous in a certian little town in IL for that incident at least my relative say so.

Greedy do you live on a farm/ranch also?

CS.. I live on a dead end street right next to an expressway. LITERALLY next to the expressway. THe tollbooths are within my view (over the so-called sound repression walls) Next to my place is not only the concrete cutting company, but an electrical transformer station.
