G'morning, ya lovely bunch of pervs!

Back from Toronto yesterday, OMG, it was so beautiful but stinky, what with the garbage collectors strike and all. It was a busy, busy day, we went to Pride (and planning to go again next year!) and walked around the fashion district, can you say "HEAVEN!!!!" and West Queen. It totally rained all day, I didn't think I'd even get dry again, but that kept the temps down. We walked about 8 miles or so all over Toronto and then when we finally got on the train to come home, the train was delayed for some time because of another train hitting a pedestrian on the tracks. That was the not-good part of the day. And can you say "RUDE"??? I could not believe how rude and impatient some people were about the accident delay and what the crew was doing to keep us informed. I thought they did an excellent job of keeping us informed.

Ooooooooo - and if anyone is interested, the Art Gallery of Ontario announced that they have a brand new exhibit of King Tut coming in Novemeber, it will be the only Canadian stop for the exhibit. Anyone want to go to the Gallery with me? I'm already planning the trip!

OMG - did you get to the NGO (National Gallery of Ontario)? I LOVED it. Mind you I almost loved the architectural remodel of the gallery by Frank Gehry as much as I loved some of the collection. I had the best day there.

Did you get to Kensington markets? They have such great funky shops and there are lots of goth and alternative shops everywhere with great clothing and jewellry.

Damn I so want to go back there

and I remember when I lived in London and we would hear the announcements that the train had been delayed as there was a body on the tracks and one day I caught myself thinking - oh damn this means I will be late for work. It was an awful moment when I realised I was losing my ..... (not sure if this is the right word) humanity. From then on I worked hard to not be so self centred when I heard those announcements and to instead think for a few moments of the person's family and friends.

ok off to bed, it is way past my bedtime

No, didn't get to Kensington but walked by Eaton Centre and Lumus wouldn't let me even go inside, said I'd never come out again! I'll keep that in mind next time about Kensington though because we were looking for a new collar for me and the shops we went into were quite disappointing. And overpriced.

We went into Scott House, walked around Old City Hall, I went into St. James Cathedral but had to be quiet as the 11 am service had just started, talk about gorgeous overload! I found out about the King Tut exhibit at a booth while at the Pride festival. AGO had a booth set up. Laughed with one lady who was using a crop to poke the rian off their booth, I told her that was a unique way to use it, I was used to it being used on me.

Lumus tells me that next time, we'll go by Kensington though and map out the day a little better than just wandering. Though to see the Sky Needle as the train pulled into Union station just really hit home that yes, I was finally in Toronto for the first time ever!

They are well. Still sleeping. *sigh* I wish that I was able to sleep in.

Butterhead actually got to go to the park yesterday. . . it has been too warm for about 11 days or so, to let her. Poor thing. And I talked to my grandmother. Well, actually I think I said about 25 words in the half-hour conversation. I think maybe she needs to have more social activities. LOL
