Really tho, my boys all groom each other, and Boo's hair is short and fine, Smooch's is longer, so I see a LOT of hairballs.  And Squeaks has the same type of coat as a Maine Coon, so she's prone to them too.  I feed them hairball dry food, and I got some hairball medicine called Petromalt at PetSmart.....it is malt flavored, they hate the salmon flavored stuff.

Do the girls sometimes cough alot, or make those "URK" noises like they are going to be sick?  If they do, that's a sure sign of a hairball......the vomiting is an early sign of one forming.....poor babies.

I just hope that she's getting/feeling better.

Amos has been doing that a bit.  But Gracious?  Never.  When she URKS, she URPS.

Status: offline 		If you can find a PetSmart, look for the hairball medication......mine will just lick it as I squirt it out of the tube, but you can just put a glop on your finger and then just put it on the cat's fur, and they will lick it off.  The coughing is a sign that Amos might be trying to hack one up.....Boo has that problem.  He coughs, but doesn't vomit.

Any hairball medication will work, I've just found that the kittehs refer the malt flavor to the salmon flavor...the Petromalt is the only malt one I can find.  I hope it works for your girls.

put the recommended dosage on your finger then rub it into the fur on her paws and legs. Don't leave a glop on her or she will shake it off....

Status: offline 		Yeah...gotta agree with Holly...don't put it on her paws...you'll find it stuck to the wall, the window, curtains, bedding.....that stuff can FLY!  I smear it on their fur, usually on their back hindquarters, they can reach it there, and it really bugs them so they HAVE to lick it off.

Dammit....I'm still thinking like HOLLY!  SAAAAAVE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
