Status: offline 		Yeah, i somehow think their response wouldnt have been to publicly smile...but every parent would have understood, just for a second. Besides, no one keeps him for long...including people i pay to do so....im fairly abduction proof over here....just ask Big Boss....

Status: offline 		Lizard's report card came in.  It seems that she will not go to NY as she planned.  I have given her one last chance to get EVERYTHING to a passing grade.

I don't get it...she is passing Latin, French and Orchestra, barely passing World geography (after I made the school change her to another teacher).  Everything else is flunking. and yes...they are pre-ap courses (except algebra).

Anyone willing to take a 14yo goth/punk/emo and straighten her butt out?

Status: offline 		Shahar, has she been tested for ADD/ADHD? Because kids with this can concentrate on subjects they enjoy but cannot concentrate on stuff they dislike.

And since you yourself have a mood disorder, the odds are extremely high that this is the cause, since ADD/ADHD are under the mood disorder spectrum and well known to be inheritable.

Status: offline 		The school knows she has a mood disorder, so she gets extra counseling.  Her father refuses to take her to a p-doc (he thinks a counseler can handle it with talk therapy).  She has been suspended once already when some girl yanked her hair (that yanker was transferred back to another high school for causing the fight.).  Lizard is a fighter, believe me.

She wants treatment but only if it takes her out of school.  When I go back down there for her birthday, I will meet with the advisor and see if she needs to have tutoring or special help (I dared her to do better this time, just like my dad did to me).

Though i didn't know it was part of the mood disorder spectrum as well, Des.  Heh.
