Did any of y'all ever wake up in the morning and realize you are married to an idiot?
Seriously....i can't be the only one.
Lemme explain. Jim was supposed to stop at the home center after working late to buy 350 pounds of sand for the kids sand box. Well yeehaw.
So...while he was there, he decided to get an inflatable pool. He happily showed it, still in the box, to the kid this morning. The kid was beside his little self with joy.
So...here comes mom to look at the source of the kids squeals of happiness. Yep...dat be a pool, alright. Jim is working daylight this week so that leaves ol mom to deal with a kid that wants his lil pool set up and set up NOW.
The dimensions of this silly thing are 120x70x12 inches. Good size pool. But, since we run on a regenerating well, even a pool that small would drain it. Therefore, i need to call a water company to fill it. Jim didn't think of that.
However, before the water company comes out to fill it (100.00 change, btw) the pool must be inflated. I looked around for the pump he bought before i realized i married an idiot. No pump. I asked Jim just how in the hell i was going to inflate the damn thing while he and his happy lil ass sat in his office all day. Jim suggested i blow. Seriously...he wanted me to huff and puff (with two broken ribs and a broken jaw) and inflate a fucking 10 foot pool. Idiot.
Then, i asked another stooopid question (stooopid because i was dealing with an idiot). Since we have to have a water company fill it (100.00 charge, btw) we need a cover. He got a cover...right? Yeah...suuuure he did.
I have spent the past hour on-line, trying to find a cover to fit the silly ass thing. I can tell you for a fact, they do not make one. Seems i have to order an odd size, have it delivered, and pray it works. The cover is 80.00. The delivery charge is 25.00.
While on-line i looked up pumps. Ahh...a mere 25.00 for the battery operated type. It takes 6 D cells, so there is another 20.00.
Jim was rather pleased that he got the silly pool on sale for 50.00. Idiot.
