I guess it depends upon what your definition of "this" is? At a guess, if you're talking about living a 24/7 D/s lifestyle, then I would answer your question: "Yes. It is too much to ask." The lifestyle requires a dedication to some principles that just to don't fly in "the real world". Not many people will buy into what it is some of us do. The idea of a relationship that isn't a "partnership" is offensive to some people (personally, I notice that most of those people are actually involved in FLRs, if you take the time to examine and recognize it). Some of that bleeds over into people that actually do espouse this lifestyle, but if you "scratch the surface" you'll see people that aren't really into the lifestyle, they're kinky. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. It's just that being kinky doesn't necessarily translate into 24/7 behavior. D/s is who some of us are. BDSM is what some of us do.
