Let's not mischaracterize what I said. I am not saying that any slave or slave-desiring girl should "pick and choose" what she wants to obey, that is shifting the context. However, she must use discretion as a matter of her own *safety* and *well being*.

A master will naturally place limits on what commands from other masters she will obey. Within those limits her response is "Yes, Master." Outside those limits her response is "Sorry Master, but you will have to consult my Master on that." After release, a girl is *self responsible* and must then use the same discretion for herself, choosing to *preserve her value* for her future master.

It is the height of playerism to insist that "a girl must obey *all* commands from any free" with no limitations placed upon its applicability. That is how girls get scammed, played, and abused. In *real life* application, Goreans must be careful to distinguish the limitations and applicable contexts of such "truisms." In reality, a girl does not have to obey *all* commands, just *all* commands that fall within the limitations imposed by her master, or her own sense of self preservation if she is free/released.

There is no subsitute for the use of "uncommon sense" (which used to be "common sense" until it became less common) in the Gorean or other alternative lifestyles. And if that means that one cannot go precisely "by the books," then so be it, for in reality, no one lives in the books.

I am not quite sure of what you are asking, so let me make a stab at it.

A "do-able command" for a slave is any command which falls inside the limitations that her master has imposed, if any. If his limitations for her are "no sexual contact," then she must defer all such commands for sexual contact back to her master as I illustration in my reply to fairer. Upon release, a girl must exercise her good judgment, as best she can, to avoid being played, used, and abused. Not every "master" who comes along and says "submit to me" is worthy of such... and in fact, if a "master" starts off with such a command because "he is the master and you are the slave", then running the other direction is in order. If the girl does not feel that she can take responsibility for her own choices in such situations, there are many upstanding masters in the community who can mentor her, and to whom she can refer all such commands from "masters" to her mentor just as she did before to her master.

If a master's command is innoculous, meaning, it is not of a type that would compromise her safety or well being, then a girl should obey without hesitation... this is obvious. "Girl, get me a coke." is not a command that puts the girl in the way of potential harm. "Girl, go strip, lay on the bed and wait for me," *does* compromise her safety, and if she is not comfortable with such a command (as a released girl) then she must defer and say something like, "I'm sorry master, but my mentor (or future master) would not approve of me consenting to that command." If the master then shows that he is a player by using the "Then you are not a slave" remark, she is justified in replying, "With all due respect, it is obvious that you are no master."

The bullying, coercing, and abusing of slaves, both in collar and out, is one of the most serious situations that we as *real life* Goreans must address within the community, and to indulge such fantasy playerisms as "a girl must obey any free that commands her" that I've seen so often stated in this forum is a big part of the problem.

We live in reality... reality takes precedence over the books.

thank You so much. i know it may be hard for some to understand and it is not up to me to explain the whys and so forth but i am very happy now with Master Michael. and yes...i will admit to being a brat before and wanting to hurt my former Master by sending or giving His collar to someone who could give it to Him but....there would be no point in doing that....
