i'm alright... getting ready for the holidays.

I've been to the ER twice in 3 months with severe abdominal pain. No one can figure out what's causing it, hence the CT. I'm not supposed to sit up for long periods because it makes the pain flare up, but I'm going stir crazy from lack of socialization or internet.

Glad to hear you're doing well. Let me live vicariously through you.

Well, my tree is up - one of the prelit ones, and i have decorations out from last year. The tree is half decorated, just trying to decide on which set of decorations to use... the ones from last year or new ones from this year. And do i want to decorate outside this year or if i even have the funds for that, too?

i hear you on the stir craziness. Bleh!

Yeah, CT of my abdomen and pelvis to check for ulcers, tumors, obstructions, etc. They already tested me for liver disease, infections, and pancreatitis. I'm guessing it will be an ulcer, IBS, or something along those lines. However, I have acid reflux so it's possible the reflux has been left untreated long enough to lead to cancer.

Really? i hope it doesn't lead there, Syl.

And i used the ornaments from last year (small white and gold sparkly balls {a set of 12} along with silver-y white snowflake sparkly balls {a set of 4} and some {about 10, but i have more left over} red sparkly snowflakes (they came with the new set of ornaments mom got at the *coughcostcocough* near us, and a box {a set of 9} teardrop-shaped silver matte and sparkly twisty things).

It only covers the front of the tree - it's in a corner, so no need to decorate the back of it, really - but it looks nice, i think. For the finishing touches, i think maybe a small tree skirt and a topper (if i can find one) might work. Otherwise, it all looks nice and i'm glad i finally have that done. Now to put up lights (icicle lights, ftw!) outside tomorrow...

I have no idea where any of my holiday decorations are. The attic, I think, in one of the myriad boxes. (Packrat, who me?) Not that I can put them up with curious little toddler hands around that would LOVE to play with all the pretty shinies. I should probably take the summer door wreath down though.

i just have one box of Christmas decorations hidden in my closet that's in easy reach. And i come from a family of packrats, too. Well, at least my mom and sister.
