Good morning, we are expecting some sunshine this morning...before it rains tonight.

Happy Mother's Day!

Anna Jarvis who was from Grafton, West Virginia, was the power behind the official establishment of Mother's Day.
In 1912 West Virginia became the first state to adopt an official Mother's Day.
In 1914 the U.S. Congress passed a Joint Resolution, and President Woodrow Wilson signed it, establishing an official national Mother's Day.

Well, it's time again to dim the lights and prepare MissH's tea service.

A quick wipedown in the kitchen and this girl is off to get some sleep.

Good Morning All!

Fluffy, are the ovens at Bounty's "self-cleaning?"  Mine is!

Just running in for a cup of High Test!

I hope that everyone has a great day.

Bounty has this girl to clean the ovens.  Self-cleaning ovens cost more...girl is free.

Here's your high test.

YAY!

Be sure to wear protective gear when you are cleaning the ovens.  Caustic chemicals and bare skin do NOT mix well togeather!

Perhaps one of those light-weight coverall things that people use when working on cars?  And a pair of gloves of course.  Those yellow-rubbery gloves can be re-used but some people are allergic to them.  I have a box of the purple non-latex ones if you want to use those instead.  Also, one of those nose and mouth filters or at least a bandana.  Oven cleaning chemicals are really bad for you to breathe in.  And remember, it says on the container to KEEP IT OUT OF YOUR EYES!  This means NO touching your face.

I know that you know all this stuff, but perhaps someone else will read it that is not aware of it.

Or, as my mother always said, "Set a good example."

Greetings folks!

I'm just stopping by and dropping off some pita and hummus.  It's spicy.  be careful.

Wanted to let angel know I started my first quilting project.  Wish me luck.

*leaves some material for angel to fondle and slides by Miss H's booth and plants moon flowers outside the window there.... They'll bloom all perty....and smell good for you.
