Guess she's gone to sleep, hehe.

*smiles and sighs, brings the other part back over to the box on the kitchen counter, affixes it to the right spot... takes up the pile of square envelopes again, and sorts through them for the right one... *

Ah, ha! Found it...

*opens it and places it on the box, setting the needle to play...*

Good morning, Tulip.  Welcome to Bounty's.

It looks like Dream left her Victrola in the kitchen.  i wonder if there is any Benny Goodman or Paul Whitman here we can listen to.  ...looks throught the square white envelopes....Ah, here's the Clarinet Adigio from Out Of Africa ...i love that movie ....could watch it again.  Oh, and here's the Charleston... i wish i knew how to dance the Charleston.

Enough of that. this girl has errands to do.

Some things that I found helpful in getting used to Kansas:

Do your walking in the morning ~ It is cooler and feels less humid

If you wear make-up, buy the stuff with SPF in it.  Otherwise, get some sunscreen and wear a thin layer.

Feets need air, so spend some time barefoot, or wear some sandles.  Wal-Mart has cavas sandles for about five dollars.

Keep water in your fridge (I use a filter pitcher) so that you can drink lots of cold water.

Showers will help with that sticky feeling that you get from the humidity.

If you will be spending lots of time outside, buy bug-spray with DEET in it.

Get some outside citronela candles so that you can sit outside in the evening without being a bug snack.

Buy a clock alarm radio thing.  In about August, the katy-dids (Cicadas) come out, and they are LOUD.  Apparently people who grow with them around never notice them.  Personally they drive me to drink.

Becarful about wearing clothing that is to restrictive in the middle of the day.  Sure, it looks nifty, but the heat and humidity can be deceptive.

Wash your hair everyday.  I have noticed that people who do not do this, their hair has a matted look to it.  If you are staying inside to do house-stuff all day, no problem, but if you are going to go out, you should not go with that matted hair look.  It is icky.

Well. . . those are my suggestions.

Evening snack/dessert idea:

Wedge of angel food cake with fresh sliced strawberries.

This is a very low fat dessert.
To make it low calorie - use Splenda instead of sugar in the cake and on the strawberries.

Coffee, Tea, Milk....

Oh, okay then.

WoooHoooo!  Fresh tortilla chips tomarrow!  Those are the best kind, ya know!  They do not even need salt.

Hi, Mr Bounty... about the Victrola, i hope you don't mind that i set it up in the kitchen... if there's another place you'd like me to move it, i can... just with the moonlight coming in from the kitchen window last night, it looked so pretty and there was no one else around (mostly)... *sigh* ... anywho, have a good trip to NYC and we will try and behave ourselves until you return, hehe.

Thanks.  How about some band musicBluesGoodnight song? Here's Opera. More Caruso.

Just think no electricity needed - just give it a few cranks and you have music.
