The only thing Miracle Whip is good on is turkey and cranberry sauce lettuce wraps. (Ok, my companion says it's good on turkey and cranberry sauce sandwiches, too, but since I can't eat those...)...

Miracle whip with tuna... EWWWW... The best mayo is homemade mayo (aioli... garlic mayo... for savory dishes), and it isn't as hard as most folks think to make, if you're a little patient (just have to be careful to add the oil in a -very- slow trickle)

To cut calories without cutting taste, from 1 6-oz can of tuna these make 2-3 servings each:


1 tablespoon of mayo mashed with a hard-boiled egg, and chopped green onion, celery, and salad olives!

OR

1 tablespoon of mayo, 3 tablespoons chopped roasted red pepper, 1 teaspoon basil chiffonade, and 3 tablespoons chopped sun-dried tomato

OR

1 tablespoon of mayo with a finely chopped, pitted, medjool date, 1/4 cup of dried cranberries, celery, chopped pecans, macadamias or pignoli, and Vidalia, red, or Hawaiian onion.

OR

1 tablespoon of mayo mashed with 1/2 a shredded apple or pear, 1/2 a finely chopped cucumber, and 1 cup of chopped watercress

(I have maybe a dozen or so more... a side-effect of trying to create paleo menus when they took away my wheat, corn, soy, rice, etc.)
