i'm trying to avoid frying in oil by baking.

There are baked potato chips and crackers.

Put them on parchment paper, bake at 350 for 6-7 minutes, rotate and bake for another 6-7 minutes?

ok, i'll try that.  Thanks.

Would you skip the butter spray?  Maybe that is sealing in the moisture.

No.  Use that or a dab of oil with a brush.

fluffy, it seems like low heat for a longer period would draw the moisture out without burning....

They do seem a little thicker than the ones you buy in the store.  i only did them 5 minutes on a side.  i'll try longer times.  The video that Aylee linked used 350 degrees F and 6-7 minutes each.  Since mine are thicker i'll try longer.

Since i put the seasoning in the dough i don't need to season on the sheet.

i'll keep trying.

my favourite is pita's cut up into pie shaped wedges (8 or so) sprayed with olive oil and then garlic salt or italian herbs or paprike sprinkled on. throw them in the oven for 10 min or so. yummy crispy and very morish!!

Nope.  Cool touch deep fryer.

I had forgotten just HOW messy coating chicken was.

I want to serve cold-fried-chicken tomarrow for game day.  The store did not have enough already-fried-chicken.  So. . . I bought what they had (which included NO legs) and am frying legs.   We will see how this turns out.

(You have to do this the night before, other wise you end up with luke-warm chicken.  I want either HOT fried chicken or COLD fried chicken.  Not some "in the middle" fried chicken.)

It could make you sick too. Making chicken at home scares me, there are so many different warnings at work.

Well. . . that is why you keep your workspace clean and have different cutting boards for different things.

So far, I have YET to make anyone ill with my cooking.

But thanks for that vote of confidence!
