Halley -> Sub-space (7/4/2007 7:45:14 PM)

I would like to ask of the subs and slaves if you experience the feeling of going into "sub space" and if you do is there something specific that triggers it? I have a wonderful slave/friend that says it's the rhythm of the crop/cane/hand that puts and keeps her there. She also says she tries to remain there even if she winds up keeping the rhythm with her hand/foot/head.

Celeste43 -> RE: Sub-space (7/4/2007 7:49:40 PM)

For me, sensory deprivation does it. Bondage, tight but not painful, gag and blindfold. I float from that. Sensations don't do it for me at all. But then I have zero interest in pain.

ready4srvce4all -> RE: Sub-space (7/4/2007 8:00:47 PM)

I have yet to visit this place called subspace.  But when Mistress says, "I adore you", I lose my will, and I often get a cramping in the abdomen, and I feel so totally owned by Her.  It varies in intensity for me, sometimes it just keeps going in waves, almost to the point where I started feeling nauseous.  Maybe the subspace will feel the same way if I reach it, and I really hope to find out someday.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Sub-space (7/4/2007 8:33:20 PM)

For me it's more about the connection.  The specific activity is fairly irrelevant, although if it's an adrenaline or painful activity, I can't relax and feel safe, so I only feel it afterwards.

And it's a fairly rare thing for me to experience anyway.

And, before someone else asks:
Subspace:
Generically it's an altered state of consciousness experienced by the bottom/sub/slave, usually associated with high sense of euphoria

Yes I do, its a lovely place, very peacefull and floaty. It depends on who I am with, I can't pinpoint any reall 'triggers' excluding knifeplay; I have done demos for knifeplay and once we start, I am out for the count, I wake up a few hours later on a bed in another part of the house.

The last time I went into subspace and it was not from knifeplay, it was by the entire situation, who I was with, what we were doing, how I felt being with Him.

MagiksSlave -> RE: Sub-space (7/4/2007 9:52:10 PM)

Honestly it is the amount of controll beeing shown, If he is beeing totaly in controll totaly Domanent that does it, its words coupled with actions. Sometimes I dont get there but usualy I dont have an issue getting at least a little floaty if he is beeing very Domly!

It's wonderful, it's warm and peaceful and I float.  I can still feel, I still know what's going on, but I'm in a lovely calm place.

Sometimes one stroke of the crop will take me there, sometimes it's a longer process.  Sometimes I can't get there at all, no matter what I do.  Slowing my breathing and keeping it in a steady rhythm seems to help me get there.

It's a wonderful feeling, sort of like an orgasm inside out.

LadyHeart -> RE: Sub-space (7/4/2007 10:23:44 PM)

There is more than one kind of subspace. We are not always talking about the same thing when we discuss it. A pain induced subspace which is the result of an endorphin high is not the same thing as an emotionally induced subspace, which is possibly adrenalin triggered. Endorphin highs can only be triggered by pain, as they are the body's natural pain killers. They have very specific triggers - flogger blows; cane strokes; needles etc . The other kind of subspace is much more personal, and different people will have different triggers.

Fun4All3OfUs2 -> RE: Sub-space Euphoria! (7/5/2007 1:02:58 AM)

Just the sound of chains, the feel of a leather flogger being slowly draped across my back...it does not take much for me to be enveloped in sub-space, a place of total mind pleasure out of body experience most times Master is talking and I do not even hear...I live for it...

angelslave77 -> RE: Sub-space Euphoria! (7/5/2007 2:08:00 AM)

I didnt even realise till  well after the first time I found it. Looking back on the event I realised that I had no sense of space or time only of the amazing /pain pleasure I felt

Deboyce -> RE: Sub-space (7/5/2007 4:31:32 AM)

LadyHeart: I agree, a number of different stimuli’s bring about varying different euphoria’s but I disagree and do not necessarily limit myself to the thinking pain is raptures producer. Indeed endorphin stacking and release is a pain product but endorphins are just one of the brain chemicals involved in altering brain chemistry.

slaveofKaos -> RE: Sub-space (7/5/2007 9:53:21 AM)

I have never been to sub space and often wonder what it would feel like. I have only ever been laying next to someone who has gone in to sup space.

SirJules -> RE: Sub-space (9/5/2017 6:33:23 PM)

I have had the pleasure of training a sub to achieve the two main forms of subspace, the mental form is primarily from being with the sub long term including a TPE setting which is achieved by the trusting of my sub. The second is the masochistic type involving endorphins. In either case you want a Dominate or Top that can recognize the sub in subspace, and will help them come out of it safely.

I have experienced Topspace, in an intensive scene where I began with spanking, then paddling or strapping, then moving on to flogging, and finally finishing with canning or whipping. I got into an intoxicating state, matching the sub.

What is terrible is the space crashes, having someone interrupt an intense scene, or a Dominate or Top, simply stopping the scene and leaving the sub to crash out of space.

stef -> RE: Sub-space (9/5/2017 6:43:56 PM)

Thank god you replied to this. The thread participants who haven't been on this site since this was active OVER A DECADE AGO will likely be thrilled to know they're getting advice from someone so experienced and masterful they don't know the difference between "dominate" and "dominant".

SirJules, you are new here so I'll explain how this works. If you look above the name of the poster on the left, you will see the name of the thread, in this case RE:Sub-space. After that you will see a date and time. The date is when the post was made. In the case of this thread it was written and answered in 2007. The people who made this thread and replied are no longer part of the forums. If you think it is a something that needs to be repeated, then start a new thread of your own. You can, if you feel the need, refer back to this thread when you make your own. Although it is not forbidden to reply to ancient threads, it is rather frowned upon.

I have to admit that I am amazed that someone took the time to read through what must be thousands of topics before reading this one. I just can't imagine going through 10 years of threads and finding this one the only one worth replying to.

Thanks for pointing out this, MsLadySue. His profile was amusing. The best part was the communicating "offline" using Facebook and email. I sure would like to know how that works.

MAINEiacMISTRESS -> RE: Sub-space (9/6/2017 5:04:38 AM)

Old threads should be archived (comments frozen) after several months have passed. It would prevent folks from making this mistake. This is a good topic though, if he wanted to start a new thread.

heavyblinker -> RE: Sub-space (9/6/2017 10:35:38 AM)

All of the old threads are actually interesting.
Seriously, every time I see one bumped I realize I missed out on the forum's golden age.

cloverodella -> RE: Sub-space (9/6/2017 11:30:25 AM)

Before I notice the date, I get excited that old members with a lot of posts behind them have come back to join the discussion after all this time. Talk about let down on several fronts.
