If we chose to give in to all of our natural impulses, very few of us would be able to hold jobs or stay out of jail.  If you are managing employees on behalf of a company and one of those employees angers you, you are not allowed to punch them in the face.  Instead you must do the job that has been entrusted to you by the company in a responsible manner, even if the guy badly needs punching.  It is true that humans are not allowed to "act natural" in many situations, in the sense of giving in to every random impulse or flare of temper you may feel.  Animals cannot easily control their impulses.  Humans can, and adults are generally expected to do so successfully so that they can make rational decisions about how to behave.

What????? you cant hit employees????  Ok all of you stay away from my guys they get hit everytime they do something stupid.  Smacked right in the back of the head (and yes they get me too from time to time)

just a Country Boy with a little learnin (and a heavy hand)

Greetings Master

Yes we human to are basically animals, but we are trained from birth to supress those natrual urges we have. Some of that sosical conditioning we could perhaps do whitout, behavior patters that we all just do, for no other reason than that it is how pepole act. Like if you ask me how i am now Master, i am suposed to say fine or ok even if i am stressed as hell becouse he might have to move, and many other unecessary behavior patters that we just do because it is what pepole do.

However we as human being have the ability to self control, something most animals lack. Yes i have teatched my cat not to step on my alatarso they can restrain themself to, but humans have a much more easy time of it. And sometimes not giving in to ones natrual urger may be very wise if one want to live in a functioning sosiety.

May i wish you well

I found out the word "Master" is NOT gender specific. At least in the BDSM world.

Actually, in the BDSM world, it is gender specific. In vernacular English, it is not.
The forums are open to anyone; their naming is just for convenience, grouping.
In many cases, a question is not gender specific, or an answer is not.

My opinion? When two people tell conflicting stories about the same alleged event, the question isn't who to believe. The question is WTF really happened and why am I hearing conflicting stories about it.

Excellent reply, Kirata.
Most of the time, the conflict is a matter of perception.
Otherwise, there is a problem with one of the parties' relationship to yourself.

Edit: As pointed out elsewhere, this doesn't cover culture gaps, etc.
