Was sailing alog rather smoothly here...and then I read patina's post.  No, not complaining, or singling her out because I don't like what she said....just not sure I understand it.  I know all about TPE; having a fairly extensive background in BDSM and D/s philosophy.  It's more about her comparison between Gor and BDSM:

" on the BDSM side there is humiliation and pain for some."

So, does that mean this is not the case for Goreans?  Humiliation and pain are things that are mostly relegated to the BDSM realm?

Status: offline 		Why would a woman choose a Gorean Master?  Well, really, in my opinion, she doesn't.  The Man chooses her.  Women can sit there and say they have choosen, they have looked to, they have decided, yet in the end, when a Gorean Man turns his mind to seeing a woman a certain way, the choice is no longer hers, for his strength and determination and will, will have her where he wants her to be.  Its all based on instinctive reactions of a woman to a Man as Master Leonidas says -- who knows what to do with her, not what she thinks she wants him to do with her.

Status: offline 		Actually, angel, from the posts I'm seeing here...it seems to make perfect sense.  Not sure I'd have understood that a few days ago; but after reading about several of the relationships shared in posts here, seems that it's the case in many instances.

The point is not humiliation and pain, though that may be a side effect of disciplining a slave. I know some have TPE, IE, ABC, etc,. and the point is not humiliation and pain, but it does seem to be s strong undercurrent in most BDSM relationships. In Gor it is a relationship between a Gorean Man, and a female that he has identified as a slave, everything else is determined by the Man, and the nature of the two involved.
