Status: offline 		i saw that. went and checked it out, but i'm too tired - work was all over the place today.

i'm not sure i did a smart thing, but it was a mom thing. there's a worker - 18 - i've heard about at work. i've talked to her a few times on the phone. she's apparently been kicked out of home and living in her car. this really freaked me as i've got an 18 yr old here and if i knew she was living in a car, i don't know what i'd do (other than drag her back home). so i've offered to finish clearing the boxes out of the spare room and let her stay there as emergency accomodation until she gets back home or finds another place. i don't know her, her supervisor doesn't know her well - she's only been working about a month - but she SEEMS to be a good kid.

i passed it by the kidlet, and she's fine.

i just hope she's an honest, decent kid who's hit a bad patch, not a kid with a drug/alcohol problem who steals!

i just can't fathom a mom allowing her child to sleep on the streets unless it's a really feral child, and even then..... Adelaide is pretty safe, but this is just begging for trouble.

interesting thing is, she's asian i understand. last time i invited an asian into my home short term, she had an affair with my ex, and they're now married with a baby. i could just be mad, y'know!

i get along well with kids in that age range, and i won't try to mother here, so if she's a good kid, she'll be find here until she finds another place.

i'm letting her supervisor handle it. she's going to call her in and talk to her about work, and then tell her that she heard this through another supervisor (mine) and that a short term solution is at hand if needs be. nothing is certain.

Status: offline 		i still think its sweet.But i don't think the same thing will happen, ya know if you tie her to the radiator and only let her out for work.

But really i do think that's such a nice thing to do Angel because i don't know a lot of people who are willing to do that in this day and age.
