Kali, i went to the doctor yesterday (sfs clinic, as my insurance is not effective until April 1st) and she said, "hmm...i REALLY REALLY REALLY don't like giving antibiotics for a sinus infection...But i suppose if you are really really really in need of them i can perscribe You some." So, i felt like i was just being overly dramatic and said no it's okay, i can suck it up...Today, after falling asleep after getting my hair colored (okay and while getting my hair colored) i woke up with a horrible migraine...He was on the computer as i was waking up and i looked at Him and said, "i need to go to the express care place", so He took me....i saw the doctor who immediately gave me some antibiotics and also some pain medication as it would have been day 21 with a migraine... i felt so stupid, but he said it looked pretty severe and gave me antibiotics for 14 days since it was so bad....

i hate doctors...i hate doctors that try and guilt me into stuff...i hate men...i hate men who look at me like i'm stupid when i tell them this story and they just look at me and say something trite like, "Well...i would have told her hell yes i want the perscription."
GRRRR....Heh...Anyhooooooo, thanks for asking....

You don't have to fill it, but take it in case things go bad in the middle of the night. And as far as doctors go, remember that YOU are the boss, YOU are hiring them, they work for YOU, not the other way around.

And if that doesn't work, remember that you are the Goddess... look at your hands... you are STILL carrying the sword and the severed head.

Sci fi type, saturday night horrorfest worthy... but it is several kinds of awesome to see your own work in a poster hanging on a wall, and hear people say stuff like "wow, they did a great job on the poster, must have cost a fortune"
or "who do you pay for work like that?"

I completely understand, babydoll.  I spent nearly 3 weeks with what I thought was a cold gone slightly awry.  I finally went to see the nurse practitioner and she said, "You've been dealing with this for 3 weeks, honey?"  I said, "Yes.  I figured if I came in before 10-14 days, you would've said 'it's probably a virus, no meds, just increase fluids and rest.' So, I thought I'd hang tough."  She smiled and said, "Well no more toughing it out, you need an antibiotic because it's a bad sinus infection."

Hullllo....  Infection = bacterial.  Bacterial = antibiotics to knock it out of you.  What did the original doctor think it was going to do?  Magically vaporize?  How about I find her and give her a redheaded bitch slap? Then we can deal with the men thing...

Did you just hear that?  I distinctly heard a *crack* followed by a loud gasp and a whimper that provoked a second *crack*.  I hope that you feel vindicated now, sweetness.  I know I feel better. 

Glad you got pain meds.  As part of the post-migraine club in the land of Arrrggghhh, I declare myself bitch enough to come out of the pain, wielding a severed head or two of my own, just because I can.  I may not be a hindu goddess, but I damn-well know that, at nearly 6 feet tall, redheaded and german-irish,  I take no prisoners.  I just need to know where to hide the bodies when the time comes.  

Medically inclined when necessary and Exactor of pound of flesh as needed,
