My brother's getting married October 20th. These favor sites have so many cute little candles and favors, would it be to odd to get him a favor as a gift from me? to tacky perhaps?
this dress candle would be cute for his fiancee.

Usually, the guests are given favors as pretty keepsakes of the event, and to add to the festive atmosphere of the occasion, while the bride and groom are usually given a gift that is to be of use in their new life together. I have used pretty little favors as part of the decoration of the gift that I have given, like instead of a bow on the wrapping paper; I like doing that, as bows are worthless and get tossed away, whereas a little favor is a gift in itself. Or, if the favor is too large to go nicely on the outside of the present, you can wrap it inside along with the present.

nyrissa, well the candle holders can be used in the new home, I'm probably better off getting them a nice fancy looking gift card, that they can pick out something they are sure to like.
