Personally I think not every fit person is attractive.

Personally I think just about anyone looks more attractive if they are fit.  I'm not saying people that have a few extra pounds are not attractive, but they could be more attractive.  I think people could make more of an effort than they currently are to get into shape in the BDSM community.  One thing I don't like is that when I attend meetings, and I've attended them in a few different places in the US, almost the majority of people who attend are substantially overweight.  Now, what they do with their own body is none of my business, but I think it would encourage more people to join the lifestyle if they didn't see so many unfit people.  There are so many unfit people in the lifestyle that it is becoming stereotypical, and that stereotype discourages many people from developing an interest they might otherwise naturally have had.  Anyway, I will await the flames about "big people are beautiful".  I'm just saying, if 99% of people in the community kept themselves fit, we'd have a lot more interested people coming to meetings.

LATE again, but alexfromsacto, does that mean that you feel the entire country should be (what you deem) fit?

There some damn interesting people in this community.  Thin, Fat, short, skinny, and all the other adjectives I can think of.  Interesting is what makes this community as well as this board.  But that was cold, dude.

But on the other hand, if there are more like you in the community, thats more hot sexy fat girls for me to top.   Can I kick it? Yes I can!

Fat, Healthy and err fat!

Thanks for the great sites!  I found something exciting to wear to our halloween party!  I have some leather and other fetish wear but normally I keep that for special people!  I enjoy going to our local dungeon the parties are awesome!

Our community is very diverse!  The important thing is for me doing what is right for Me and mine!  Remembering that each brings something different to the table!

I agree with Dark Daddy Z only I am including girls and boys!

TakenPet -> RE: The right body size (10/13/2007 6:24:27 PM)

Straight up, fat people are not for everyone but is it not true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and so if she finds herself attractive and he finds her attractive and she finds him attractive does that not mean she is "his/her" right body size.
Keep that in mind, the right body size is in the eye of the beholder and is not really for anyone else to judge.  If you dont' like it, don't look at it, you don't like it don't play with it, you dont' want to be around it, lock yourself in a room.  It would be ideal for the whole world to fit some hourglass figure set, but it will never happen, besides it would be boring.  I appreciate where you are coming from, but remember there is always someone who wants you regardless of what you are simply because they like who you are, and you have to remember that love and trust are developed in who you are not what you are.
So basically the right body size is whatever you make it.  Just because you dont' like it doesnt mean that someone else can't.  I am sure the people at the meetings do not appreciate your judgement of their choices.  You speak assuming like you know what its like to be fat, but you don't, so your assumptions that they do not take care of themselves is appauling.  Until you know that person and know their routine how dare you judge them.  You know nothing of those people's food consumption or exercise routines except what you have allowed society to brainwash you into believing that they are all McDonald's munching, overstuffed people who do not exercise at all.  Maybe you should talk to them and get to know them, they might just be nice people ... Scary isn't it!

I hope you brought your flame retardant suit, dude. Your commentary is really irrelevant to this thread.

Anyway, what I think is more important than what size someone is, is what people do with what they have. I've been on both ends of the fence, in younger years I had the proverbial 36-24-36 measurements.... these days, well, the proportions are the same, but the numbers are a bit different. [;)]

I know women that are plus sized that are smokin' hot, because they know how to work with their body and are confident and comfortable in their skin. I also know thin women that are rather plain Jane, because even though they might have a more socially "ideal" structure, they don't work it and they let their clothes wear them as opposed to the other way around. Again, with my experience from both the typical BAMF! body type, to being bigger - I know that, yeah, it's a lot easier to find things that will make you look fabulous if you have more "ideal" measurements. Hell, it's hard to go wrong. I also know, however, that it's just as possible to be just as presentable and even sexy, maybe even moreso, with a more voluptuous figure. Sure, it's a little more complicated, and you have to put more thought into it - but it pays off.
could not have said it better myself...

Bobbie9395 -> RE: The right body size (12/3/2007 4:36:37 PM)

Oh, yikes!!!  I'm sooooooooo sorry.   I meant to say 12X.  What a faux pax that was.

gorgeous1 -> RE: The right body size (12/3/2007 5:12:05 PM)

Try the Delta Burke line, if you like sexy retro stuff. I am not plus size but am a DD so I bought a red teddy that fit me in the bust and I took it in at the waist and butt. Also, try the body slimmer line from Nancy Ganz. Google "Cheeky Boyleg Panty." They are very retro style and they happen to be control panties, meaning they keep the stuff you don't want to jiggle from wiggling! I have a pair of these in black and they are sooooooo cute on! This stuff isn't latex-fetishy, but if you like just racy, retro, "I'm a naughty girl and need a spankin" you'll like them!

And, of course, you can always have a corset custom made. It's worth the investment, and it looks great even over clothes!

Hi!  You might check out biggalslingerie.com.  They have got a huge selection, all the way up to size 12!!  Many, MANY sexy items to choose from.

I never knew size 12 was a plus size. I read that is the average size of a woman in the US though.

Size 12....wow....was that size when I was ten years old. Its funny how that makes it sound so big! I currently wear a 14.

mejo -> RE: The right body size (12/4/2007 12:07:38 PM)

I wear a size 14/15 as well. I'm still plenty curvy... Babies have reaked havok on my belly tho!!! working on it but I think I look good in some lingerie.. It the taking it off that bothers me  [sm=frown.gif]

I'm just ordering a corset (size 32) from AlterEgo. Can't wait for it to arrive...

beltainefaerie -> RE: The right body size (12/4/2007 3:28:07 PM)

How fun these links are.  You might want to say that biggalslingerie goes up to 12X (as size 12 isn't even plus size and I was confused until I clicked on the link).

I think us big girls look awesome in the right lingerie, just like little folks do.  Really in any size you can find things that are beautiful and flattering and things that are hideous.  Just try things on and go with what works for you.

I recommend Torrid and also note that Fredricks usually has some cute plus size things as well.

MistressPav -> RE: The right body size (12/4/2007 7:45:10 PM)

Self confidence will make anyone look incredibly sexy, no matter what size.
Big women are beautiful, too!

Oh, and I had to laugh.....a size 12 is NOT a plus size!     ROFL

Wish I could help...but I personally don't feel like "large" women look good in lingerie, that would include myself.

ever tried corsetry? I find that fuller figured women look spectacularly better in corsetry because the roundness and squish factor creates a more dynamic shape.

kalstolyn -> RE: The right body size (12/5/2007 8:50:14 AM)

It kills me that plus size stores start at 14, plus sizes used to start at 18. Honestly, I haven't been able to wear a size 14 since I grew boobs. And being forced into "fat lady stores" as a teen (a TALL, curvy, athletic teen) was enough to make me start thinking and acting like a fat lady, until one day I actually became one. Stupid on my part, I know, and that wasn't the only factor, but it did seriously contribute, and it's hard as hell to climb out again.

missladybitch -> RE: The right body size (12/23/2007 3:38:11 PM)

Has anyone mentioned www.hipsandcurves.com    yet?

I had a quick scan through the posts and couldnt find anything...

I <3 that site. *sigh*
