This story may not have made it to the States - this is copied and pasted entire from the BBC news website.  Hopefully the images will make it through the posting process.  I couldn't actually believe it when I was told about it this morning, but everyone on earth needs to know what utter, utter scum this guy and his friends are.  The credits for the photos and the writing can be found on the website if you follow the link.

Man jailed for urinating on woman

Christine Lakinski had "a difficult life" (pic North News) A man who urinated on a woman as she lay dying and shouted "this is YouTube material" has been sentenced to three years in prison. Anthony Anderson also covered Christine Lakinski with shaving foam after she collapsed in a Hartlepool street. The 50-year-old, who suffered from a number of medical conditions, was later pronounced dead at the scene. Anderson, 27, and from Raby Road in the Teesside town, had earlier admitted outraging public decency. The court heard how, on 27 July, Miss Lakinski was making her way home with a box of laminate flooring when she fell ill and stumbled into a doorway. Totally shocked Anderson, a former soldier, had smoked a cannabis joint and been drinking when he and two friends spotted her. He tried to rouse her by throwing a bucket of water over her, before urinating on her and covering her with shaving foam. A crowd had gathered around, watching and laughing, and the incident was filmed on a mobile phone. She was later declared dead at the scene, the cause of death being given as pancreatic failure.

Anthony Anderson was filmed urinating (pic North News)
Magistrates in Hartlepool had referred the case to Teesside Crown Court so a longer jail term could be handed out. Judge Peter Fox, the recorder of Middlesbrough sitting at Teesside Crown Court, said: "You violated this woman in an incredible way, and the shocking nature of your acts over a prolonged period of time must mean that a prison sentence of greater length is appropriate in this case." Outside court, Miss Lakinski's family said in a statement: "We remain totally shocked that anyone could behave in such an appalling way. "The fact that Christine was dying makes this man's actions even more sick and inhumane. "However, those who stood by and did nothing to stop Anderson are also guilty in our eyes. "It beggars belief that these people chose not only to condone his cruelty, but also to walk away from a neighbour who was clearly in distress and needed help." The family statement added that Christine had "faced immense challenges throughout her life", yet still had managed to "forge an independent life for herself".

"smoked a cannabis joint and been drinking"

I'm not sure what a "cannabis joint" is nor how much this fellow would've been impaired due to the combination of it and drinking.  Can anyone help me out here?

I certainly hope that this guy was intoxicated to the point of thinking that peeing in his own mouth was hilarious.  Even then, it's still sick, but, meh.. the idea of someone doing this sober is just disturbing.

Joints and alcohol don't mix very well. He probably would have been off his head but no excuse.

Speaking of sick acts there was also the two men in my own home town who have just been imprisoned for putting a woman through a 12 hour sexual attack including playing noughts and crosses on her back with a knife. No wonder we get a bad name !!

There is no decent human being who can blame doing such a thing on being intoxicated.  And people just stand and watch!  I work in a pretty bad neighborhood and recently called the cops on a couple - when the woman was yelling for someone to call the police, as the guy was grabbing her and not letting her get away from him.  Other people were there.  A woman was standing on the corner with her kids - she could've gotten her kids the hell out of that scene & run over to the gas station, but noooo, she was waiting for a bus.
I dunno what's wrong with some people.

cannabis is another name for pot.

That story was disturbing and disgusting.  I agree with the family, those who watched and did nothing are just as guilty as those who commited the crimes since they could have done something.

The idea that people are not themselves having consumed intoxicating substances is just plain wrong
It is then that their true nature emerges.

There are no hero's any more - except for my brothers.

I have witnessed a muscular thug punch a small guy in the face. I did nothing about it, as I am not a hero and a weak guy myself.

I have witnessed a gang robbery and did nothing about that either.

I have witnessed a tough guy trying to abort his very pregnant girlfriend by punching her in the belly, repeatedly. I tried to do something about that, but I was to cowardly to risk getting punched myself.

That is a valid point Rule but the criticism in this thread is directed mainly at those who do such vile things.

the term for that is diffusion of responsability, which basically means that if there is a group of 5 or more people, there will be a delay in forthecomming help because each person waits for someone else to do it instead. no one wants to take responsability for that person, not wanting to become involved if the person ends up dying or something like that. when there rae 5 or less people, generally help will come quicker, nearly instantaniously in some cases, because they realize that they are the ONLY ones who are able to help and therefore do not wait for others to do it for them. on a city street, i can see how someone would simply let those who may or may not be in the buildings around them take responsability and call the police. as for the case in the article, some people are sick and horrible and theres not much you can do for them, except put them away where they cant hurt anybody else. as for the people around them who were not intoxicated, all i can say is WTF?! you see a woman passed out on the floor with someone peeing and putting shaving cream on her, and somehow you think this is ok and funny? people piss me off royaly sometimes with their complete stupidity.

I'd like to say I can't believe the story, but sadly I do believe it.

Unless someone has a medical condition, where being pissed and stoned can cause a psychotic episode, it doesn't make them do things that they normally wouldnt do, it just removes the inhibitions that we all have.

He's an arsewipe, but yes, I can't imagine all the bystanders were also pissed and/or stoned. In a way, their crime is worse.

Yeah but this was no fun.

But that doesn't mean don't post it.

My take on this is it is sort of like when that Woman died in an emergengy room. People just stood around and watched. People moved together into towns and cities for mutual protection and well being. The thought was that there is safety in numbers, but it seems that is no longer true.

The first problem is that people are taught not to take the law into their own hands. And people are disarmed, so even if they have the urge they might be afraid to act. Even with a gun they are afraid to act. If I were there with a piece, and shoved it into the asshole's mouth and said "Hey MF, you see somebody laying on the ground, obviously in distress, and this is what you do ?", I would do more time than he does.

I believe that every Citizen should take the law into their own hands. That doesn't mean having turf wars with the neighbors, let the kids do that.

I know I said I never call the police, but let me qualify that a bit, I don't call them for me. One time I saw a Woman get kidnapped at the intersection of W117th and Lorain. From my vantage point I couldn't get the license number, and there was no way to get there because traffic was heavy. What I would have done ? Not quite sure. This was before cellphones and I wasn't armed at the time. Two guys got out of that van, that means fighting three of them. All I could do was call when I got home, and I couldn't give them much to go on. What would you do ?

I have been known to smoke a "cannibas joint" and drink a quaff of beer, many quaffs in fact. Many joints in fact. But what I would do if I saw someone laying on the ground outside would not be to piss on them. As mentioned, intoxication is no excuse. But there are things wrong with people, intoxicated or not. Many deep problems that do not surface until they are intoxicated.

Who's fault is it ? That's the subject for another thread.

T

Is it really that shocking? I'm certainly not belittling this woman's, or her family's, expectations of being treated with decency, but human beings are capable of far worse than that. 'Shameful for him, I mean, what a total embarrassment to the human species, but he's not alone.
