One thing to do, is to follow your instincts.

First off, in reading your profile it doesn't say if you are bisexual. Do you plan on having a relationship with her also? Do you plan on having her dominate you? If so, perhaps you can let her be in control first. What it does come down to though (in my opinion) is sitting down and mapping out HOW you see the relationship evolving. Ensuring that the communication is there. If the three of you can talk it through together it would probably clear up a lot of the confusion. This is key to do ... before the poly relationship is initiated.
