Your master has decided you will be collared 24/7.

For those slaves who wear a locking or allen wrench type collar are some more comfortable than others?

How long did it take you to be comfortable wearing the collar in public?

If you work were you comfortable wearing it to work the fist time?

Are you comfortable wearing around family and friends?

Is this question strictly geared towards those who wear a locking or allen wrench collar? Or anyone who has been collared and demanded to wear it 24/7?

My Owner has given me the honor of wearing her collar 24/7.  I have never taken it off and I can say, with a straight face, that I don't really know how to even do that.  It's only ever taken off to switch it to my play collar...which is a lovely dog collar.  My normal collar is a nickel plated chain wrapped in hemp.  I've worn it almost a month now, and I feel naked if it's off for a second.

It has caused some minor irritation as I've gotten used to it.  My Owner keeps a close eye on that when she can, and she made me take it off for an entire night a few days ago.  I've gotten very used to it now, and I don't forsee having too much more problems with it.

I'm very comfortable wearing it in public.  It makes me very proud, even if nobody really knows what it means.  It means the world to me, and that's all that matters.

From what I hear, the eternity type collars are very practical in terms of wear and tear and blandness so as not to bring attention to themselves.  Aesthetically, the cold metal brings both a sense of belonging, bondage, and unobtrusiveness.

.03 seconds, but then I'm not the type with most standard inhibitions.

Remember, some collars are simply chain or delicate jewelry necklaces, some are tattoos, some are brands, some are "collared" but yet have no physical collar at all.

Are you comfortable wearing around family and friends?

I am.

I'm curious how this will effect your own choices?  You've chosen to be with this man who has decided to collar you with what he wants.  Do you not trust him to take care of these details?  Do you want the comfort of knowing you aren't alone in your anxiety?

My collar is a thick titanium and gold link chain that rests on my neck like a short necklace or choker.  I was beyond comfortable the moment he put it on me.  As I told him, I'd wear a shoestring around my neck if he wanted me to, I was just so glad to have reached a point where he wanted to collar me.  I wear it 24/7.  It does not have a lock, but I only take it off for medical purposes, or when he wishes it off for some of the particular activities he does with me.

I've had compliments on my "unique necklace."  One person at work quirked her head and said, "That looks like a collar!"  Ha.  My mother didn't understand why I have not taken it off for years, and tried in her oh so subtle way to get me to change things up by giving me necklaces.  I told her it's from Mr. Wonderful and it's not coming off.  She recently said, "Tell Mr. Wonderful it's time to get you something up to date, with gems on it."  Gotta love Mom...

The only issue I have with mine (one from a former relationship that I opted, with permission, to keep due to it being custom-made) is that my hair gets caught between on the screws and ouch! Other than that, it's a great piece of jewelry that I don't mind wearing everywhere.. except work.

Since it looks pretty.. sterling silver and 14k gold, I guess I can get away with it in public.. I imagine if it were some awful, gaudy, unfinished or galvanized steel monstrosity.. thing.. it would be a completely different story.

my collar is a delicate stainless steel cable that has a silver heart pendant on it.  i wear it 24/7 UNLESS i am going to be doing something that might damage it.  then i am permitted to remove it, as i am permitted to remove it to clean it.  no one would give it a second glance actually.

right now i'm wearing it in combination with a gold chain my husband gave me, and a much longer silver chain that has my hammer on it.  and none of them bother my neck at all, which is just amazing.

I wear my collar 24/7 and it is a sterling silver chain and jade pendent necklace.  However we also consider my clithood and nipple piercings to be symbols of ownership too.  I had to take all of them off for a surgical procedure and it was horrible.  I felt naked and alone without them.  None of my collaring gifts bothers me.  When we increase the sizes of the piercing rings the stretching can be a little uncomfortable but because Im  a pain slut that is all part of the joy of it.

I wear a heavy sterling silver chain that is short and fits more snug around my neck than a necklace would. It's not fashionable and feels like a collar. It has no clasp or opening for removal at all; the only way I could take it off would be to break it.

I have never cared what others think about my dress sense or choice of adornments in any case, so nothing beyond being delighted, crossed my mind.

My family and friends all know that it's a collar and what it signifies and other people really aren't that interested.

A friend of mine is a masseur and gave me a massage as a 50th birthday present yesterday. I had to strip to my knickies, including removing jewellery. Her only comment was "How peculiar" when I said the chain wasn't removable.

I wear a simple silver chain with a lapis lazuli pendant. Master gave me the collar for my birthday this past March. It hangs just above my breasts near my heart. I wear it 24/7 unless I shower or in the few times I have had to have surgery and then it was taken off before I went into the O.R. and then Master put it back on me after I was back in my room after the surgery. If anyone would like to see it, its on my profile.

i dont do well with tight things around my neck for more then a few minutes. i dont even wear turtlenecks.  do have to say though that i love breathplay, but that is different, its only for a few minutes at a time.   but the Master i am hoping to collar me, is a great listener, never forgets, very attentive.  so i am confident that He would never get me anything too tight and it may not even be the typical collar, who knows. but ultimatly it is His choice and i will wear what ever He wants me too and love it.

i also wear an Axmar collar... have been wearing it for four years and a day, with maybe a week total when it was off for one reason or another. No problems. It does get attention from time to time, usually from kinky people, sometimes from people who seem entirely vanilla... This causes me a little stress, but only because i'm really shy. i get the occasional dumb joke (apparently there was a movie released at some point where prisoners wore a steel collar that would blow their heads off if they tried to escape). A lot of people are curious about how it opens. It did take a while to get comfortable wearing it around my family, but it probably helps that i wear other plain silver or stainless jewelry.

Oh, one comfort issue- i find that it tends to open slightly when i'm especially active, and the ensuing gap tends to pinch skin and catch hair until i can get it re-tightened.

My first everyday collar was a very nice chain collar (two slender links soldered together on top of each other) with a D-ring on either end.  Another short chain was passed through the D-rings and locked together with a sterling silver lock with my owner's initial engraved around mine.  I wore it nearly every single day.  The only days I didn't was when her son was visiting for the weekends.  I felt naked without it.

Mistress has a few ideas bouncing in Her head for when She officially collars me.  I'm much more comfortable in public with a chain or metal collar for everyday wear as opposed to snug leather or rubber chokers.  The leather or rubber chokers are better for play, in my opinion.  I do like the chokers to be snug, though.  But whatever style Mistress locks around my neck will be the most cherished object known to man  I just hope it doesn't clash with my latex catsuit, though

I didn't see a thread in the BDSM Apparel forum, so I figured it'd be okay to ask here: Where did you folks get your collars? It sounds like you've all found some very modest, comfortable products, and I'm wondering where I might be able to peruse a selection.

Heh...trust me, I relayed the message.

His answer was - "I like your collar.  I think I'll keep it."
