I don't believe you need to worry about using your own definition as an absloute. If you go back and research posts from all the notables, and work with the likes of the men that are here as to content, and since six is absent, perhaps 11 will assist us on this and we can accomplish this. I'd say with your skills of writing and as you seem to be a Scribe that should be viewed rather well. Though it would be nice if 6 got his lazy ass back here and lended an assist. -smirks- That comment might bring him back from the grave.

The purpose of my participation in this forum is sincere communication, learning, growth, and fellowship with reasonably likeminded individuals.  The rest is just secondary details.  I appreciate you taking the time, and giving enough thought to ask.

I'll start looking at it, although I'll be starting a thread to collect contributions as well, since it is just as interesting to have a list of the questions that people have encountered in real life, as the questions we encounter on-line, if this is to be informative. Your compliments on writing skills are appreciated, although I'm not sure Scribe is the right term for someone with a professional background in security and systems engineering.

Builder or Initiate seems appropriate, as my work is to analyze, counsel and create.

Of course, sometimes one has to unbuild before building, but I digress.

Status: offline 		Why does it seem (( you either are or are not )) is this not the case for turning people newly interested inthe gorean dynamic to steer away from it ?? Yes gorean at least to me is more of a natural way in which a man feels and shows his actions ,his spirit so to speak. I on more then one occasion have been told I am nothing but a prick, My response - dont like it oh well - I am who and what I am and have no plans onchanging that, to old to conform to societies restrictions. I just feel that those that are truly interested in gor , shold been shown the CORRECT way to go about it, not told you either are or are not , evrything takes time for some it is immediate ,others it may take time to actually find where you belong opinions ?

Status: offline 		Why do you feel a need to tell us how long you have been Gorean? If you are Gorean, it will be seen by those that know what it means. There is no ranking, you either get it or you don't. Now we all may be at a different point in a path, but those path usually lead in the same general direction. When someone is going the other way, sometimes I might say "Hey Bub, if you are wanting to go north the compass says it is that way <points north>".

Know what I mean?

All and all it is what it is , also being gorean to one may be something different to another I learned a long time ago that yes you may be gorean but you also must make it your own as well

You didn't learn well then....

It isn't making it (Gor) your own. It's about discovering yourself and being true to that. In other words making you, your own. You know, the whole freedom, sovereignty and individual liberty thing.
