greetings angel I think I understand your objections, however, if a FAQ thread is solely for the purpose of directing newcomers to a list of questions that have already been asked... frequently... and not as a sorta, "overview, of the thumbnail sketch, of the synopsis, of the cliffs notes of the discussions that have taken place here..." it might not be a bad idea. Potentially, it could give newcomers a sense of perspective, and an indication of why, those that frequent heredon't really want to attempt to explain everything in one paragraph or less. I am assuming of course, that the thread doesn't attempt to provide a shortcut to all of the various answers that have been given to those FAQ's. I mean... there are currently 76 pages of topics, many of those topics are discussed on multiple pages. Hell, at the time of this writing, the slaves thread alone has 142 pages of discussion... I would guess that a list of frequently asked questions without any attempt at answers... could prolly run... 4 or 5 pages. For the majority of those that want to just drop in and boggle Gorean minds with an astounding question, hoping that the answer can be encapsulated into a single paragraph, I'd guess that an existing list of FAQ's would be enough to make them throw up their hands and run away in horror. Especially, if the FAQ's could be linked to the places in the archives where the discussions took place. That way, the person asking the question would be directed to... the 274 previous answers to their "mind boggling" question. To try and provide answers to those questions tho... would in my opinion, be over reaching... I have my doubts that the most popular answer, has much to do with what the true answer might be. be well Un
