So im wanting to buy the ladyfriend a book on being submissive....not neccesarily a training manual, but something written about being a sub, by a sub. Is there some definitive guide or otherwise that is considered a must have?  Ive seen a couple out there, but havent the foggiest idea if theyre any good.

The best stories i have read have been on line. You may try doing a search submissive stories by submissives and such.

While not touted as a lifestyle book The Surrendered Wife has been a wonderful guide for me

Well lets see

Becomming a slave by Jack Rinella is good
The Bottoming Book OK
To Love To Serve to Obey "Diary of an Old Guard slave" Viola Johnson Good but not instructive but rather point of view
The Complete Slave also by Jack Rinella
SlaveCraft by Guy Baldwin

All of these except The Bottoming Book are in my personal library, and are sold Online.

all of the books Archer mentioned are good....if your friend is a total newbie i would start out with The Bottoming Book....i read it when i was a total newbie and it helped a lot....the other books are good but if i had read them 6 years ago i would have either run for the hills or exploded/imploded trying to do everything because i didn't have a regulating faucet type thing (can anyone say sub frenzy?)

I have to agree with Chelle. Of the books Archer mentioned, The Bottoming Book is my favorite and, imo at least, the best one if you can only have one.
