All I know is I want my medications back!  This fibro is kicking my ass!  I am not one to get depressed and I am struggling with it becasue of the pain levels.  I haven't been able to live even my normal limited life becasue of no pain coverage and some days... I just want it to stop for just a moment or two.  I am spending a lot of time doing nothing, tried and can't do anything... kind of passing out from pain.  At least medicated.. I can cook and clean and do what needs to be done even if I am not as active as I like to be... which is pretty active.

Then I read how some are being medicated and I can't even get these doc's here to read my medical records.  I wonder if they have ever heard the words 'neglected' and 'postal' in the same sentence...

Hugs Lockit.......i am trying to ween myself off my meds as they are causing more problems for me..but the weather here  is up and down right now and that is making me hurt too. Have you tried hot baths? they used to give me some temporary relief.
i hear you though with the "just one normal day"........or hour  would be so nice....

The spoon theory .. posted above is a GREAT way to explain "being sick"

praying for your pain  to ease..........

I cannot take baths... I know weird but really bad for me.  I do the hot showers and am working on getting a hot tub.  Hot water can be instant pain relief but within minutes of getting out, the pain is back... but...lol.. it stopped for a while and that gives you a break!

Good luck with weaning yourself off the meds.  I didn't have any problems with that, just the pain, so I can't imagine handling that on top of everything else.  I have my little tricks, but have gone so long without pain relief that it is effecting everything.  I do better in winter, but the rain immobilizes me.  Hang in there!

Will your Dr. write a scrip for the hot tub......mine did...........so it was tax deductible......there are some mornings i about crawl out there. or when i start getting cold and the muscles start spasming......or if you have a YMCA near many of them have warm water pools and hot tubs.

isn't it odd......how many of us do better in summer or winter, but spring and fall are killers..........(i still think it has to do with the up and down barometer.....)

My problem is I moved out of state and don't have a doctor that knows me or understands as I have more than fibro and trying to teach a doctor about something that isn't taught in the US is a major problem.  They try to treat me like a typical stroke patient and that will end up killing me.  As per experience with mom, sister, grandmother and on and on.

My ex was the one that figured out the air pressure and when I would be at my worst.  I was too busy trying to deal with the symptoms! lol  By the time we were through... without leaving the bed and just waking up, I could tell you the weather that was there or coming.  Fun stuff! lol
