I am new to Gorean life, and the topics are fascinating here. Many of the posts are by kajira, so I was curious as to the proper way to address a kajira if you are not her Master. I tend to be somewhat blunt and forceful, and I would like to not be offensive in ignorance.

Thanks,
--Anopheles

i am not a Gorean, but unlike most BDSMers most Gorean slave girl`s do not mind being refered to as slave, but to be on the safe side i would adress her by her name.

Thanks for the response nella, it's much appreciated. To clarify though going forward, I didn't mean to say that I WAS Gorean, but rather that I was curious about learning, and didn't want to accidentally offend someone, if I can avoid it. :)

Are kajira typically called slave by somone other than their Master? Just wondering.....

i am learing as well. Many Goreans practice that all Masters are called Master and all slaves are called slave, most bu not all. So to be on the safe side and not offend anyone i would adivice using their name, and if nessesary as what you should call them.

kajira, slave girl, slave. Slut is a term of endearment, but generally only used toward girls that you actually know well. The girl's name works, but some slaves (like me) think that you're mad at them if you use their name.

No actually, Its Goreean for girl. It may well be an onlineism or found in the books, its just a term that is imbedded in my language that In use it daily at home and in public.

It's Kassar for girl. The Kassar are a group of Goreans who live in Ohio. They are founded and lead by Sandor. They've been around about 10 years, more or less. They invented their own language, which they speak exclusively among themselves. At one time Sandor posted a dictionary of their language online, and the role-players took it and ran with it, thinking it was "official" Gorean because they'd never actually read the books (which were hard to find at the time before the cottage industry sprang up selling them on ebay).

You'll find it and other Kassar words now in various "Gorean dictionaries" posted on the web that are designed for role-players who want to seem more authentic by tossing around tidbits of "Official Gorean" lingo that newbies don't understand.

Trik, is also used in some areas of the US and UK to refer to a prostitute taking on a customer.. i.e. "turning a trik".... But i use it as a term meaning "girl". It has a more endearing quality in my use where as if I'm pissed off with a trik I'll usually refer to her as "girl".

I’m informed that in MIRC, one Gor RP room run by bikies developed the Kassar language, which I just happen to love with or without Gorean connotations. The reality is that there were very few “Gorean” words found in the books as such. Such developed languages are at times points of contention between on line and non-on line Goreans. It is also why some will never take folks like me seriously, which is good. I prefer to remain a Maverick and go my own way mixing with a select few who share a mutual respect for what we are not our likes and dislikes….

The Kassar weren't (and aren't) role-players, and were actually seldom seen online at all. They actually live together in one house, as I said, in Ohio. Some of them are "bikers" and I think that they are active in "fighting" groups, who engage in semi-mock (they hurt, but don't kill each other) group combat. There is a girl here on collarme (I think her name is kara22, or something similar) who used to belong to them. She could probably (though may not be allowed to) tell you more.

Tal Leonidas,

Thank you for that titbit of info. They may be one of the Gorean lifestyle groups (for want of a better term) I’ve head about being involved with metal weapon combat of a medieval theme or similar. My info was what was passed down to me via numerous people in MSN Gor and of course we all knew that such information needs to be taken with a few grains of salt.. It was the he said, she said , they told me line of info..

Many groups do metal weapons combat. Goreans or no, i think it is nice that such old traditions is not premitted to get lost becouse that would truly be a shame.

I suppose anything would work, in theory. Ill answer to anything from my name to 'hey you' to slut to.. well.. anything in between. I admit that I do not like to be called certain things (specifically little one.. Im neither a child nor a midgit and it bugs me) but I still answer to them. Its not my place to correct the free. If you want to call me "hey chicken legs" then thats your right and as soon as I realise its me that youre addressing Ill answer to it. (Though I really hope you dont.. lol)
Common addresses that Ive seen are: the name of the girl or... girl, slave, bitch, slut, slavemeat, kajira, ect..ect.. it varies depending on what the man wants to call the girl. As to why some prefer some words to others.. that I could not comment on.
When it comes to how slaves address eachother, however, Ill say something to girls who call me sister. It urks me but thats a wholeeeeeeeeeeee different topic. :)

Have a peachy day,

No. It is not Gorean at all. The word never appears in the books. Trick does, but that is not what you are using. If you take anything out of the "Kassar" dictionarys assume it to be wrong unless you have seen it printed in a hard copy version of the books. The electronic copies that go around are full of deliberate additions to try to make something from the online gamers look like it came from the books. Urth is one of the best examples of that. It only appears in the illegal online copies.

Be well....
