Nobody 'has' to back up an answer to a general question that is asking for personal thoughts on a subject other than 'because that's how I think'.
No proof.
No evidence.
Just simple personal experience.

Honestly ?  Your fishing for a response and not getting the one you want just because I and a few people on another thread disagreed with you gross generalisation.
Ever get the feeling you might be wrong on this one for everyone else?  You're making a comment which is as general as 'all cars are green' or 'all cars are fast'.  They aren't, and it also depend on what you think is both green and fast.  Maybe you think you get all women and have a bond because you are a woman.  Maybe you think men don't because they are men, but if you make that claim and have that thought, then you are second guessing everyone else on the planet, and that's never healthy.

Well, I am off to the sea - have fun all!

Understand women:  What is there to understand. They either know which fork to use or not? They either maintain proportionate weight to height or not, they either submerge themselves in screaming sweating clawing multiple orgasmic sex or they cloak themselves in the emotionally bankrupted title "domme."  Nothing more needs to be understood.

~fr~ If we look at male/female couples that have been together for 30 years, it is not uncommon for them to finish each other's thoughts and sentences.  They not only understand each other, they often know what the other is thinking.  Is it because they have been together for so long and have taken the time to get to know one another?  Maybe that is why we do not really understand each other, we simply do not take the time to learn.  We live in a quick-fix, quick-high, quick-sex sort of society and maybe all it takes is for us to slow down and really get to know one another.

My x M used to tell me women are more emotional and therefore react or comment based on emotions; where men are more logical and therefore react or comment based on logic.  Not sure how right he was, but i can tell you, he was often times very predictable.  He had no idea he was predictable.  However, the more time i spent with him, the more i knew him.  i can also state with fair certainty that, although he liked to believe that he knew me, he only knew certain aspects of me.

Sometimes men do understand women.

So I will ask you too. if you are one of those men who understands women, can you tell me something that you understand about women?

A woman personally responsible for pages of the "Are Women Bitches?" thread is more interested in socialization through debate than in either teaching or learning.

Personaly responsible? LOL. Me? I didnt start that thread and I contributed a few posts! If you are referring to me Sir, you give me WAY too much credit. I'm a nobody here. I am here to get opinions and never said I wasnt open to learning.I am trying to learn about men.

I am here trying to get opinions nothing more, nothing less. I decided after having been told one thing that I would try to get a feel for if your statement was true. i wasnt trying to disprove anything. I was interested in finding out what the consensus was.

The feel is some do, some dont and some dont want to.

One thing I did learn is people interpret what I say from what they think is my personality and ulterior motives based on very little knowledge of who i am. It is very interesting to see how peoples attitude toward me and my question is colored by preconcieved notions and it seems like personal feelings.

I have always been a question asker. I seek to understand and to learn. I am not trying to prove or disprove anything.

If that wasnt your intent I apologize.

Seems like you are fishing for generalities.  Such a question could only be answered with a generalization.

I was casting a rather large net in hopes of catching some specific fish. Sue me !

I think some are unhappy when we dont understand. Ourneeds can be way different. Our desires for communication can be different. Again, some but not all. lack of communication can hinder any relationship I think. When communication fails, the relationship can too.

No, it really did look like you were jumping on politesub (whether that was intended or not it is the impression I and obviously others here got).  The appearance is you taking things personally, others are merely pointing that out.

So I said in another post that men dont understand women. I am not saying men dont feel or love and adore women. That is not what i am saying. The statement plain and simple is Men dont understand women(their emotions, way of thinking etc)

Arent there shreds of truth in general statements and arent stereotypes based on shreds of truth? After all, thats what comedy is formed on.

So I am asking you here, the Masters.....
Do you think men understand women?

I'm just going to the source for the opinions.

What an incredibly ridiculous question.

More appropriately it should have been asked:

"Why don't women make any sense?"

So its rediculous because you think of course they do? or of course they dont?

'Well, I for one understand that women scream when flogged and moan when fucked. Does that count any? '

The above is an incorrect statement. You probably know that and were meaning to be inflamatory.
The women in your experience may very well have acted in that way.
a because that was their natural inclination
b because they know that is what you like them to do.
I can definietly state that all women do not behave in that way.

All of you. You are right and I am hopefully rediculous and rude for wanting to know if men understand women and what about them is understandable and what about them are incomprehensible. I expected to get a wide range of opinions and ideas and hoped to reach a greater understanding through it.

All the people who think ill of me for wanting to know, you can be right and vindicated. I have never been one to have to be right or to always win or have the last word. So , you may continue to say whatever you will and maybe I will get more opinions from those who appreciate the nature of the way the question was intended. Those who dont like the subject or dont think its worthy of debate well, no one is forcing you to answer.

The statement reflect my understanding of women drawn from my own experiences.  As such it is true by definition.  Debating my understanding of women requires either a bottle of 15 year old scotch or a bottle of Mountain Burgundy.

The other day I was watching my wife do something.  She was naked except for my thick leather collar on her small Chinese neck.  I had an expressions on my face that told her I was thinking of something.  She asked what it was, so I told her, "I'm thinking about difference between the logical operators in math and computer science."  I studied both in school and sometime I get them confused in the math classes I teach.  She said, "that's good to know."  "Why?" I asked.  "Now I don't need to be so self conscious when men stare at me on the buss."  I never would have guessed that would be her response.

My point is... in any given situation you just have no idea what's going through the other persons mind, but we can still learn much about each other.
