A friend of mine new to the Gorean lifestyle has just freed his kajire (a lass of many years standing as a kajira), and is taking her as his Free Companion.

Ok I'm not going into details as that isn't the point. My own FC asked me if I would post asking for links to any sites when the new FW could learn to me a FW within the Gorean lifestyle. So there it is guys if you know any good links etc please post away so I

Greetings Master,

For some excellent articles Id try the Gorean Voice and go through their archives. There is a Free Woman essay every month and has been for years.

I must admit that my knowledge of the Goren lifestyle is limited to the books themselves (which I read years ago) and messing around in online Gorean roll playing chat rooms when I first went online about 10 years ago...

But I've got a question, isn't being "freed" and becoming a FC like being a "switch"? You go from being a sub/slave to being a Top/Domme????

What is FC?

A Gorean free woman can be a submissive, a normal person or a dominant woman. It simply means a woman in the Gorean lifestyle that is not a slave.

Actuall no it's no where it. Being released and made a Free Woman is simply that she is now a Free Woman of Gor with all the rights pertaining to any other Free person. The only submissiveness is that she knows her place with the Free men who can over ride her if they so choose. It is said in the books that a woman is only Free as long as men wish it.

A Free Companionship means that she enters a formal relationship with a free man in a similar manner as a marriage or even if you stretch it a handfasting. there is usually a set period and at the end the contract may be renewed. I'm a tad hazy on the finer points as my lady and I entered into a life long free Companionship just as we did our marriage and earlier our handfasting. The interesting issue is that now an ex kajira has to learn how to be a Free Woman which I immagine will be quite a turn around in mind set.

The reason why the companionships are of a limited time in Gor is that the Goreans in the books are unaging and it is done as a way to ensure that pepole are not stuck whit one another for eternity if they dont want to. Just think of how many pepole grow apart over a few years, now imagine what would happen if they were together for half a millenia.

Ah the stabilizer serums, my favorite part og the Gor books, and somone just gave me opertunity to speak aboute them.

My daughter just got married and had a very beautiful ceremony that could be easily adapted to that type of ceremony with just a few minor changing in the words. I'll see where she found it and post it if you like.

Might not be exactly what you're looking for but it's the closest thing I've seen r/t to it.
