Status: offline 		I personally went on birth control to contain them. Also Midol, or naproxin, also help.

Status: offline 		Because i'm stubborn, i refuse to take any sort of pain reliever. But i will take a steaming hot bath to relieve the cramps, something with the heat makes them more bearable.

Status: offline 		I take a couple of painkillers and heat a wheat bag in the microwave and then lay it across my abdomen.  It fits to your shape and holds the heat well. 
For the day or so that I'm cramping I see nothing wrong in taking pain relief.  I refuse to be a martyr to my period!

when I was very young, I would kind of just put myself in a trance.  I'm so glad women now have access to decent cramp-killers OTC.

Status: offline 		Hot peppermint tea or peppermint hot chocolate with non-fat milk. Warm heating pad while I am at home and yoga. I do a LOT of streatching and it helps that I am doing Muay Thai, since that causes my mucles to move around so I can't dwell on them, and the movements help to eliviate the pain.

Status: offline 		I use cramp bark, WARNING: it taste like absolute crap. like your drinking a hay stack. You can generally get it at health food stores or I got mine at a new age shop that catered to pagans. To make it palateable, i used lots and lots of honey.

Status: offline 		   I've heard orgasm helps with it, so I usually go for about as much of that as I can handle. Also, exercise, which is typically turned to only when the former technique isn't working.

Status: offline 		Clitoral stimulation also relieves headaches for me,  then again having sex while on my period is definitely not a hard limit, for some reason I get very horny right before and midway through my period. Then again I am always horny.

Status: offline 		800 mg. Ibuprofen every 4-6 hrs, alternated with 1000 mg. Acetaminophen every 4 hrs.  Orgasms have also helped.

 Add me to that. Orgasming makes my headaches turn to near migraines, and the thought of sex while I'm having my period makes me queasy. Not because of the blood or mess but the thought (and actuality) of penetration.No way, no thank you! Heating pads and OTC like Aleve, trying to cut out sugar the week before but that is tough because I have no no pattern to my periods. I can go 5 months without, or just one month.

Status: offline 		800 mgs. of advil at the start of cramping, then 200 mgs. every few hours.  It keeps the edge off.  I also am on the pill, which helps with the severity of the cramping and the amount of blood loss.  I can't even think of sex for a couple of days a month.  Intercourse leaves me in much more pain, and clit orgasms also hurt.  Wish I were one of the lucky ones that orgasms helped!
