WarriorPoet2005 -> Who would have thought (9/23/2005 6:45:43 PM)

Hey all!

Just new to the site from a decision to explore this side of my personality. I've always been dominant in my "vanilla" relationships but have never met a woman who into much more than a good spanking. Of course growing up with the "No means no" societal norm, the Alpha Male side of me was always there but a little quashed. I finally decided to take a jump into the lifestyle and see what there is to offer.

While deciding to move my life in this direction I did some soul serching to try and discover where this comes from and I finnaly traced it back to something I'll discuss in a moment. So off on my journey I go.

While doing some research I came across several references to "Gorean" Didn't think much of it but I like to learn all there is to learn so I started reading the posts here and to my surprise, found it was based on the books of Gor.

Guess where I traced this side of my personality back to? Yup.. I read em' all when I was about 13-14 years old and thought back then that this is the natural order of things. Tarl Cabot was my idol.

Who would have thought.....

Geezzz... I didn't realise there were a lot more books. Just went to a site and found out I only read the first 8... Off to the bookstore...

greetings and welcome to the message boards, Master.

if i may comment... most people will read a book and say "oh i want to be like him/her" or will dream of such an existance... very few get the chance to discover that it is possibe to live this way.

it is...

i bid you welcome, and i wish you most well...

Greetings to you edana and your master.

It was more than just reading books. I felt a connection back then that felt right. I agree that in todays society One could only wish that such an existence were possible.

I feel like I'm home

Thank you for your welcome and my compliments to your master for your beautiful manners

Tal WarriorPoet,

Welcome to the forum. We have some truely wonderfull and knowledgeable people here. I understand you feelings, for when I was first introduced to Gor, I too knew I was home. For me it was like being back active with my Spec Force unit.

Tal to you Brother

I was just on a thread discussing the connection between this lifestyle and being military. Interesting connection as I see you are a Warrior yourself. I too am former military and have spent 25 years in the law enforcement community.

Haven't met too many people yet but the ones I have are warm and welcoming.

Thank you for your greeting
