and some wonder why society is all messed up. The roles have been blurred or at least attempted to be blurred.

"I am saying that we, as a society, have effectively emasculated men."

But not so much the Men, but the boys...who are alseep.

I think society has become afraid to discuss the primitve appeal of even extreme male dominance because they think it's some kind of slippery slope to greenlighting the abuse of women.

Greetings, nc. ~smiling~

Very true.

In the 60's and 70's, things they were a-changin'. Women stepped up and essentially took over. We burned bras, went to work, got divorces, and in the 80's and 90's we started shattering that glass ceiling. Yay us. For some reason, most men let us and helped us do it. What the hell?? How on earth did that happen ... and why?

It took me many years to realize that even though I "had it all" (power career, power marriage, power position IN the marriage, kids, THE house in THE neighborhood) I was miserable. I walked around all day like a man. I gave orders. I kicked ass and took names. I was strong. I was in charge.

I hated my life.

A few years ago I met a Man who was a Dom. I started learning to submit and then I started ~burning~ to submit. I had a fire in my belly - I ~had~ to submit, surrender. Suddenly I felt in balance. I had peace. No more anger or frustration.

In many instances, women have led men to believe that a woman's way is the right way. We, as a society (and I do not mean in the comfort of our M/s D/s dynamics) have allowed this to happen. I am not saying that women cannot effectively run a country, a state, or a household - I am saying that we, as a society, have effectively emasculated men. and of course, in a matriarchal society we are taught to believe that allowing men to again be dominant is just a Prada-step away from abuse. We (and this is generally speaking and not intended to be specific) do not respect men any more, and chastise those who do (submissives and slaves hear such chastisement much). Those in power want to keep it, after all.

Unfortunately, outside the M/s relationship, I do not see things changing any time soon.

I wish you well,
Ish

Why Gor?  Its really simple actually, it gives me a focus and starting point to recognize and work through things that i have continuously found frustrating in the world among the different interactions of Men and women.  It helps put into perspective me, not for anyone elses benefit or need, but for myself.  As i delve deeper into what Gor speaks of as in the naturally being of Men and women, it allows me to delver deeper into my own secrets and caves.  It has also given me a scope of ideals to look for in a Man and it continually boils down to my reactions to him, and the concepts of those reactions are okay because they are naturally a part of me.

Welcome back angel.

".......because they are naturally a part of me."

Perhaps a part of everyone even if denied?

Greetings Master Rapture,

I am sure the reactions are a part of everyone, however, if they are denied are they seeing them as okay?  My statement was more along the lines of my own understanding and recognition over the years because of enslavement and Gor that these reactions are okay to have, acknowledge and embrace, because they are naturally a part of me, not necessarily debating whether the reactions exist in everyone.

Well wishes,
angel.

Greetings nc,
Greetings Masters, Free and slaves,

this girl is glad to see you participating in this discussion.  you have brought much food for thought to this thread.

yes, this girl would agree with you about the reality of the sexual attraction most women feel when given the option of a strong Man v. one who is politically correct in his thinking and demeanor.  the idea that a strong Man touches that vital primal place in a woman and makes her burn with desire, a desire that is appreciated and cultivated, nurtured if you will, is just one of the themes represented in the books.  this girl hopes you will take some time to read a few of them and share your thoughts and feelings here.  this girl would recommend Slave Girl of Gor and Captive of Gor.  these have certainly helped her to understand and delight in being a female, cognizant of her true nature.

well wishes,

fairer than she
