LOL, zephy. I agree that directness is needed often, but there are ways to be direct that don't injure, but merely inform. DB and I talk of this topic quite a bit. When a clue by four is needed, DB does the talking. When a direct, yet more diplomatic approach is needed, I tell the person. It's not that I can't be blunt as a spoon, and not that He can't be gentle in His phrasing, but we stick to what we're good at and have divided the tasks along our personal strengths and weaknesses.
