This is the perfect place for this, but I warn people you might want to grab a kleenex. I am still teary eyed, and I do not cry easily. I just recieved a letter from one of the military men we sent a package to this Christmas. His wife got it in email, and following his directions printed and brought it to me. He wanted to make sure I got it right away, rather than wainting on the mail. I will retype the letter, one of my managers just dropped if off at the apartment on my day off since he had to drive past to pick something up elsewhere. To our Angel at Walgreens: If you could only imagine what damage you have done to all of our reputations. Imagine, a group of combat-hardened military men crying our eyes out as we opened notes from our children, got photos and CDs of the little ones singing for us nd found out that Valez is going to be a father. You have made this by far one of the best holidays we could have ever asked for, short of actually being home. Thank you also for the "Open Christmas Morning" package. Each one of us had something, you thought of everyone. Even those of us who dont have children of our own had a little something in there. We have been showing off our photos to anyone who will look. The chocolate did not survive the evening. We knew you wouldnt mind that we shared it with some of the children that run around out here. We are at a loss as to how to actually thank you. No amount of words will ever do it justice. We would have been happy with a picture from home. One. A card would have been a perk. We had no idea there were people other than our wives who would think of us for the holidays. Photos, letters, candy, CDs... it was a little bit of home when we needed it most. The world would be a better place if there were more people like you in it. ___________________________________________ Just thought I'd share. DV
